Oh my goodness my MS has really kicked up a gear and I am basically useless! Luckily my Mum is up for the weekend so her and my hubby have been taking care of our son today while I've spent the day in bed but man do I feel shabby! This week is going to be rough!

My MS seems to be coming and going so when I do feel sick it's such a relief haha this is probably the only time you would actually want to feel sick. This pregnancy is so different to my first. Last time as soon as I hit 7 weeks I was running to the bathroom pretty much every hour and couldn't keep anything except Burger King down for weeks. This time I've only been sick a couple times but feel nauseous alot. FX'd for a nice wee heartbeat at the scan tomorrow and finally getting a confirmed due date!

yeah mine too...it was really bad in the weekend and eased up today so it comes and goes...
Im having blood test tomorrow
Ive gained 2-3 kgs so far!!!!! And my tummy is noticably rounder :(
Do you guys think its ok to eat peanuts or eggs? Ive got told to avoid them in case of allergies...
anyone booked their antenatal classes yet?

I had heard to stay away from peanuts but haven't heard anything about eggs - I have been eating them! had 2 for breakfast yesterday!!
Not sure if we are going to do antenatal classes this time around. The only reason I was thinking about it, was to get into a coffee group and number 2 can have his/her own little friends.
Busy week/weekend for us! Had DH's birthday, then DS turned 2 on friday and we had a party for him on saturday. Man, was so tired yesterday! We were meant to be going up north today but have decided to go away tomorrow instead. And it's meant to rain all bloody week!! So annoyed by that!

Nice cake Bopmum, I bet your little one loved it! I'm trying to find cake recipes that DS could eat for his first birthday, apparently carrot cake might be ok, any ideas?
Not sure either about antenatal classes, I would quite like to meet other mums and get a group of friends for baby, but last time the classes were from 7 to 9pm and I found it very tiring! Plus DS is only 10 months, so I remember very well what was said. I think my midwife talked about a refresher course though, only 2 sessions, will ask for more info next time I see her.
I hope that everyone had a nice weekend and good luck for the week ahead, especially for those having scans

Go for chocolate!! hehe! That's what I made and he had the same for his 1st birthday too - an egg free chocolate cake coz one of DS's little friends can't have egg.

bopmum that Cake is looking good and bet it tasted good DS is turning 2 end of next month and no Idea what to do yet.
Weather is not nice here hope the rain goes away soon so we can do something and not just sit around in the House.
I don't think I will do Antenatal Class this time around but a 2 session refresher course sounds nice wonder if they offer that in Tga as well or only in the big cities.

I'm not sure about the antenatal classes here in Palmy... will probably look into it in a few months or so. Might ask the MW when I go on the 8th March.
Is anyone else in Palmy?
I really think if I didn't take the tablets the MW gave me I wouldn't be able to function. As it is I still spew several times a day- sometimes only little ones though. Gross. 
Don't know about the peanuts and eggs thing. Am still eating both. Not too bothered. I don't know about the science related to that... Guess will wait and see!
Vivk: my tummy is definitely rounder. People have worked it out. And I can't fit my normal jeans- managed to get some really nice maternity jeans from JeansWest- go check them out ladies
Three classes for me today and two meetings. A pretty good day.
Hope you are all having a nice day- lunchtime soon. Leftover vegan pizza- yum!

Hi all, Love the cake! I made a tractor for DS's third birthday. What about cupcakes for a first birthday idea? Can decorate them in so many cute ways.
There is no need to avoid nuts during pregnancy - that was the case a few years back (when i was first pregnant was not allowed to eat them and craved them!). Research has found there is no evidence to support that not eating them will stop allergies. My Food safety preggy book from the midwife says nuts are fine. Eggs are fine too - just have to be well cooked. My boys and I love a hard boiled egg for lunch :)
Have a good week all. I had my first bloods done last week and was supposed to give a urine sample too. I had 2yo DS with me and went to the loo to get it over and done with .... managed to drop the sample pot down the toilet almost as soon as i got in the cubicle! ... so had to sheepishly ask for another one and said I think it would be easier if I do it at home!

Awesome bulldozer cake - I love it!
We had my son's first birthday party on Saturday and I struggled with what to do re: cake, as he doesn't eat sugar yet. So I ended up making a beetroot and sunflower seed cake. It went down an absolute treat with my son as well as the other babies! I made a double batch too so was able to have a whole cake for my son to attack by himself, and then I made muffin and mini muffins with the other half of the batter, for the other babies. It was definitely a hit and I was happy that he still had a yummy cake, but a healthy one.

Had a scan on Saturday to check everything was okay as i had had bleeding. Was very releaved when they finally found a little one with a heartbeat. Now i cant wait for my next scan on the 13th March.
Am high risk so was releaved to see the little one had a heartbeat.
Hugs to those who have lost there little ones it is never easy.

Hi,
I just had MW appt and she thinks that even though i was high risk last time i should be able to get away with just a MW this time because my last pregnancy was only high risk as a result of my #1 being born at 34 weeks and seeing as i kept #2 in until 38 weeks that #3 should be fine so i'm excited about that!!
Had 1st antenatal bloods done and picked up some folic acid and iodine so i'm all sorted now. MW gave me a form for a dating scan i've booked that in for Wednesday morning. Exciting!!!!
MS has kicked in, first vomit yesterday, ewww! I hate MS!!!
Hope everyone is doing ok, and the MS isn't too bad for those that have it. With my #1 i had all day sickness for weeks 6-12 and then at least once a day until the day she was born, it was horrendous! I ended up at the emergency room one day cause i heaved so much i pulled a muscle and couldn't breathe properly, is kinda funny now (cause it was just a pulled muscle) but at the time it was so scary! I had an ECG and everything in the resus room!

Btw, do you girls have ice? My friend told me not to have drinks with ice ...she said ice can be made from tap water and its not good for u?
