You're super brave Agirl and did well to only have a couple meltdowns. Hope the specialist can give you some answers hun.

Hey BC, thanks for asking. I am struggling to distract myself, Friday was work, yesterday was cleaning and today is baking. Another blood test tomorrow. I stupidly did an HCG when I woke up yesterday and then had several panicked minutes before it showed positive. Doofus. Am also playing a fun game I like to call "toilet roulette" where every time I go to the loo I'm paranoid I will be bleeding, fun cycles of apprehension and relief.
Anyway, your next FET is so soon! do you feel more of less prepared for this one? I don't think we ever really prepare ourselves for the disappointment/joy these things might bring.
A.girl. Well done on only two meltdowns. Babies are awesome, we are a bunch of baby-loving women here, otherwise it wouldn't be so damn hard. That doesn't mean that sometimes the presence of the cute little things can be overwhelming. I possibly sniffed up tears the other day when brushing my 3 year old niece's hair the other day cos she was just to solid and trusting and gorgeous and I wanted to take her home (her parents and her would have been fine with that, they just would have wanted me to return her one day...)
Happy weekend everyone.

That would be good if we could be waiting buddies again BC, and this time both hopefully get our BFPs :-) I am feeling worse today which sucks as this is my last week of work and I don't/can't feel rotten for it! I've left a message with my FA nurses to call me back asking about the antibiotics, but the GP seemed pretty adamant that it would not affect anything. I hope he's right as I feel awful!!
a.girl I know how you feel. When I'm not being a lawyer I moonlight as a photographer and I do newborn photography as part of that. Not sure why I subject myself to it at this point in our journey, as it is super hard to handle so many precious new bundles when you are fighting for one yourself - but it's nice to be able to give this to new parents and the world is full of newborns whether I open my eyes to it or not! I know how hard it is though, so good on you for being able to do it :-)

Awww I love babies, always on the lookout to steal one . I agree, we are a bunch of baby loving women here, otherwise we wouldn't have found each other xx I'm good thanks for asking . Just plodding along, I don't know much about IVF etc so am reading and learning. Have a lovely Sunday petals. I'm about to start cooking our weekly family Sunday Roast. My parents come over, sometimes my brother and his wife and we enjoy dinner. Naaww, got to love the traditions you build.

Good luck for tomorrow auntie. In terms of this fet I'm of the attitude that if it works great and if it's not going to work then let's get it over with already. Shimma will be great to have a waiting buddy.
Ht hope you've had a nice roast.
AFM - spent most of the day gardening. A friend next door has a massive garden and wanted some roses gone so I took them off her hands.....all 32 of them!!! Can't wait till next summer to see them in action! Work tomorrow....reluctantly lol.

Morning ladies. How is everyone? We were away for the long weekend and I have just read back on 3 days of posts. Such a world of knowledge on this forum it's so great! Who needs Dr Google! BC - so sorry about your BT, but great you are already onto your next round with FET! I really really hope this is it for you! Shimma - that's so awesome you have 8 frozens! FX you won't need them after your next transfer Auntie - GL with your BT today, your HPT's sound promising! Hi and hugs to everyone else AFM - AF arrived in full swing on Friday morning and is practiacally over already. DH and I had the chance to have many conversations over the long weekend and we have decided that we will go full steam ahead with IVF! It's a little scary and I am so grateful to have you lovely ladies on here as I don't know anyone else who has been through this experience. I feel like I already know SO much about IVF We will call our FA nurse this week, and hit the ground running for the start of next cycle, end of May sometime I feel so relieved actually that we have a solid decision and plan now! I'm ready to let go and hand the power over to someone else will hope that it works, and if it doesn't - what will be will be!

That's great Storm! I hope time goes by quickly for you. Did you decide to pay privately then? Are you opting for just one round or the package deal of 3?
HT, I feel the same as you sometimes - I know NOTHING about IVF but totally enjoy learning from all the experts. I'm reading a good book right now about infertility (it's out of Aussie so it relates a bit more to how things are done on this side of the world!) and learning quite a bit in there as well.
Auntie, I hope you get some fantastic news today!
That's so awesome that three of your are doing your transfers at the same time - it's great having others to "wait" with. I used to love having a cycle buddy back it the days before TTC was so difficult - epic ;-)

Hi all,
just been for my injections lesson so starting tomorrow, let the good times roll :-) Looks pretty easy and of course, no problem when you only do the practise shot into the rubber pad. Hope its the same when I actually have to inject myself. I am really excited to finally be getting on with it. I know the next few weeks are going to be tricky, I haven't told my boss anything and hope I wont have to, and it may not work, but still after all the waiting its good to be doing something.
Storm - great news that you are full steam ahead with a new plan. Sometimes just having the plan helps.

Yay storm exciting you're taking the plunge!
Lesley - good luck with the injections. Honestly I found them a piece of cake. My one piece of advice is that if you're doing Gonal make sure you insert the needle with the number dial facing up so you can read it and see when it's hit zero. A few times I had to re do mine because I'd take the needle out too soon lol so would have to do the remainder of the dose.

thank you all, am eating cake and trying not to climb the walls with nervousness. Lesley, injections were fine. I found the orgalutron (one you have to prevent ovulation) quite irritating and painful, but an icepack on my belly while driving to work sorted it. Actually, I have to say that I found the whole IVF procedure/scans/drugs a piece of cake compared to this bloody waiting game! Good luck, glad there are a bunch of you in the same boat, it really helps :)

Thanks ladies. It's a big step and I'm glad to have you all here while I take it a.girl, we have to go privately as we aren't eligible for funding. Which makes it very hard to try and separate with the amount of money it takes for the 3 cycles with FA. We have agreed to talk about that part a bit more, before I call the nurse this week. It's just such a big risk either way I think! and of course would all be worth it if the end result was a take home baby - but that's not guaranteed! Lesley - that's exciting! Good luck with starting them tomorrow.

Exciting ladies! Wish you all the best!
Storm - we're doing $10k worth of private treatment at this stage (who knows about the future!) - I ended up rationalising the cost with how much I'm prepare to pay to know that I tried everything that I was willing to try. Even if things don't work out, I decided I would be much happier not having the 'what-ifs' in my future, even if it means a few more years paying off the mortgage :)

Hi all. BFP for me, HCG is 131, which is rising well. Still so many milestones to go before I start feeling less terrified but, as DH said, feeling a little bit excited now. The nurse told me to take one day at a time, I tried not to yell "easy for you to bloody say!".
I have got wayyyyy ahead of myself and worked out that EDD is 1st Jan 2015. Wouldn't that be nice?
Next scan in a week then a scan the week after if all is going well.
Any one who has been in this situation have any tips for not going mental? it seems the waiting gets worse, not better!
Mushroom, when are you starting IVM?

Yaye! Auntie that is great news!! Am pleased you are feeling a bit excited now. It's really hard to get past the nervousness of it all. I was extremely terrified of something going wrong when I was preg with DD and was constantly counting down the weeks and days till appointments etc - and that was before my struggles I have now!! LOL I don't have any tips for you, but live in the moment and enjoy finally being UTD!! And that is a very cool due date! Mushroom thanks for that - I think it will def come down to how much we are willing to pay, the limits we will go to. Will just have to see how it all plays out.
