What is the horseshoe? I am always on here on my iPod so maybe I don't see it as I don't see people's icons either.
Today is a big day, DH gets to join me in taking antibiotics (he is so glad it is not an injection) and I start gonal f tonight - anyone have any side effects with it. I hope it works and I get some eggies!
Have a good Thursday ladies

Lucky horse shoe is an avatar shared around after someone has a bfp. Currently I'm The lucky one, didn't get a chance to pass it on with my bfp. Good luck with all the injections. I never had issues with Gonal - easy to take as needle is super fine. Just remember to make sure the number dial is facing up so you can see when it hits zero. Sometimes I forgot and would take it out too soon then need to inject again.....not cool lol.

Hey there... been a bit MIA as I rode out the TWW... a wait that seems like a cruel joke once you know your fertility issue, but hey, I'm humouring the specialist and giving it two cycles before moving onto our 1st cycle (short protocol apparently with low dose drugs - apparently the norm for one with just blocked plumbing!).
I probably shouldn't have joined the TWW thread - they kind of get all excited for you without reading your posts where you explain the issue with TTC and why its been nearly 3 yrs... that'll be the last TWW I'll join in on I think - it nearly sunk me reading some posts.
I'm pretty sure AF will arrive today - the good news is 2yrs of pre AF spotting seems to have vanished. So, all going well we'll start IVF 23 August.
Got the paperwork yesterday for our public wait list. Just waiting to get the date - but not expecting anything before August next year, which means we only squeeze in one IVF before I'm 40! but fingers crossed we won't need it anyway... I did look at the calendar though and the IVF cycle - egg collection would be around my sons birthday, and AF is due on my birthday.....I don't know if I should be worried, or see it as a good sign... Anyway - we have Fiji booked for October, so we can just get away after that...
Good luck with the injections Icecream... Best of luck with testing Cruzychic Hi! to the new folk... Hope everyone is well...I have some reading to catch up on xxx

Miss b glad to have you back - I would take the dates as good sign, our ec is the week of DH birthday and I thought that was good. We have a trip to Melbourne booked for oct too! Feeling funny again and not sure if it is in my head or to do with the antibiotic pill or my period or just me?!? Thankfully I am getting good sleep - another early night tonight I think
Thanks for the tip bc - my nurse had warned me but good reminder!
Thanks Lesley - bakers dozen would be nice but only need one good one right!! Although it would be nice to have the rest of the family in the freezer!!

Miss bling - I avoid the tww like the plague. Especially knowing there's no point me being there.
Icecream - sorry you're feeling funny again. Sounds like you're getting a rough time.

I think I'm delusional with the TWW - with this journey I can talk myself into anything LOL ... I was thinking I could have been that woman that has a little miracle BFP just before starting IVF - that story you read about other women EVERYWHERE when you're symptom-googling, over and over.... Of course, I'm waiting on AF now, because my chart says today's the day, and because I need AF to arrive countdown to starting IVF it will delay..typical....ah well, will enjoy one more cycle where I can drink - wine and coffee....
Icecream, I'm sensitive to antibiotics (without the mix of anything else) - always make me queazy. Maybe it's just the combo :( Hopefully it passes for you.... xx

Icecream thats not good you are feeling a bit off - hopefully it doesn't last for you just as a side note with your antibiotics, if you aren't already - be sure to take some probiotics. I totally forgot with my IVF and got the god awful thrush! It was horrible. Hope the goanl-f does it's thing for you!! grow eggies grow!! I'm on the "avoid the TWW' bus with you ladies... I think the view of how easy it's going to be changes once it's been years TTC and I can't really relate with anyone just starting out - the hopes are all too familiar! Miss bling - I wanted to be one of those miracle people too LOL we have had them here though - I'm pretty sure Brownie was one of those people, so it does happen AFM - I'm putting this cycle into the "WTF over it" basket. Temp has slightly risen the last few days although still no +ve OPK's (I did have 3 days of no testing end of last week due to no OPK's) but the last couple of nights tests have gotten darker! Aaarrrrgghhh it's so frustrating. It's like my body has forgotten what to do and it's just given up and plonked itself on the couch and watching telly or something! Bring on AF I say. And hopefully unmonitored clomid! There has been some unmonitored clomid users here haven't there? Epic am I wrong in thinking you did it? HT if you are still lurking, did you do yours with FA? I'm interested to know the cost and whether it would be likely they would let me do it

Oh icecream I didn't realise you did was it much cheaper than doing the monitored cycles? I paid $300 for my monitored ones.

yep my cycles were unmonitored. the first 2 cycles with DD they did bloods (to see it wasnt working!) but no scans. then I did a third unmonitored and got my bfp. all 7 rounds of clomid the last time have been unmonitored. if you are on a lower dose theres not too much that can go wrong i guess..its the higher doses they tend to watch more closely (from what i hear..) one week and ill know if theres a bubba in there or not..come on body- do your thing!
