Thanks for the advice trinab! Took my trigger injection last night and am scheduled for egg collection at 8am tomorrow! Getting very nervous. Looks like I have about 8 follicles that will be good enough.
I was on the short protocol too but stimmed for almost 3 weeks, hope your follies start growing quickly for you trina!
Bring on Friday icecream!

Nurse who took my blood said what nice veins I had - although I am miffed as she left me with a big bruise! Matches my stomach now too!
Oh soda that is funny, I wonder to they even see the items really or just scan stuff Right must stop skiving and get back to work

Hi- I'm a 'sometimes' forum-er. Just checking in- I'm on my third round of Clomiphene - wanting to fit another cycle in before Hysteroscopy/Laproscopy in the hope I won't have to actually have the op if I get pregnant before! Have been TTC for 2 years. Found out through HSG I have blocked right tube. Last 2 rounds of Clom have showed ovulation on right side :/ I need to ovulate on left side (dumb nature!)
My BIG question today is: Has anyone else had chest pains on Clomiphene? Feels like a tightness on my sternum. Nothing heavy, but enough for me to notice and wonder what is causing it??

I'm on my fourth round of clomiphene, I haven't ever experienced chest tightness sorry. If in doubt, give your clinic a call tomorrow :) Hopefully you won't need a lap, but it isn't a bad thing to have it done if it does end up that way.

Hi Trina-b ;-) It's soooo good to hear your feedback about Guy from repromed (I think we're about the only two using them on here, maybe because they only accepted private funding up until last month)! I've been working with him since Feb and just love the small, personal nature of the clinic. Yay!!!
Good news, Storm. I hope it does the trick for you!
it's exciting to see so many of your starting treatments. I'd love to see some nice BFPs in here asap!!!! Been a bit of a dry spell lately. Surely we're due for some soon :-)

Thanks Beaker. I see you had a Hystero/Lap recently- am I correct? How long were you 'recovering' for? I have booked a half marathon for November - expecting the surgery will be mid/late Sept - wondering if the training is even worth it! I'm in the public system and they have left it until the end, so are pushing me to accept whatever date they offer as otherwise I count as one of the 'targets' they missed for treatment as they've made me wait so long!! :/

Yep I had one at the start of june. I waited 5 months for my date after waiting 5 months to see the surgeon all publicly. If I didn't take the date they offered (on 4 weeks notice, so not too bad) I would have had to wait another 2-3months. Fertility isn't really their priority unfortunately.
You aren't supposed to do any running/heavy lifting for 6 weeks post surgery (that's what my GP told me any, surgeon said nothing to me). It took me about 10 days to feel "normal"-ish again, I definitely needed at least a week off work. I had a polyp removed, and endo removed. The gas pain in the worst, and recovering from the general. Though another lady here recovered really quickly from hers compared to me. It's so individual. I would probably skip the Half so you can definitely focus on recovery, unless you're super fit and 6 weeks off won't bother you!
I hope it all works out for you either way :)

Oh Beaker- thanks for your speedy reply. It's always reassuring to get info from someone who has been through it... What the specialist/surgeon/dr says seems to be slightly skewed from reality sometimes! Best wishes to you too.

Thanks ladies! I'm glad he's let me do the unmonitored, we can't do another private Ivf for a while so at least I'll feel like we are doing something with our "natural" trying - and Deb!!!! You're lurking? TTC again? so nice to "see" you! Soda big hugs Hun I'm sorry you feel like you're out. In hate day 1 too and am coming up to three years of them! And don't feel stupid - we've had that hope and no one thinks you're stupid for believing this could be it! Does this at least mean a longer LP now for you? Beaker Yaye for unmonitored clomid buddies! My AF seems to be taking her sweet Mary time! Always comes when you don't it to, and never when you do Boo for your headaches too! What time of the day do you take them! I did clomid last year and my first round I took it during the day and was always followed by a headache then started them at night next time and got no side effects. Trying trying I never got that chest pain either but might be worth mentioning to your doc or nurse? I've also had a hysterscopy and don't think my recovery was that long but possibly different with lap aswell? Nik good luck for EC tomorrow!! Hope you're feeling ok about it all

Storm omg tell me about AF, mine was 4 days later than expected and because I had no spotting or cramping, I wasn't sure if/when it was coming!!! I take it morning, my first cycle I took it night time and I had hot flushes that woke me all night, and woke with a tremendous headache. In the morning, I flush in the morning and have a headache, but seems to ease off by the evening. And our clomid is the same.. just making the most of our time while we wait for funding since IUI wasn't a good choice for us. I hope your AF arrives soon!

Trying I had a lap this year before Easter. They did not find anything so just the straight forward surgery, I was running 10km before it but after it running felt funny for a while - like I could feel the scaring inside. I was off work a few days but yes took a few weeks to get back into previous fitness level I thought about a half marathon in oct but the one I was looking at is on the day we get back from holidays so figured it was a sign not to bother, if this ivf round does not work I might look at a different run
Soda I hate cd1 with a passion. We always have to have hope and think what if, one of these times it is actually going to happen!
I recommend clomid at night too, can't comment on chest pains - best to check with nurses Right I'm off to sleep to grow some follies! Hugs ladies
