Woohoo pepi congrats and fingers crossed all is well xx So I talked to dh last night, results of his SA arent flash but apparently there are things we can do to help.. he only has 25% live swimmers..thats not many. Does make me realise how much of a miracle my DD and my angel were to even concieve! So now he has to cut back on caffiene big time and be super healthy and hopefully thatll up his odds a bit. Looking back at my chart ive realised that both times we got our bfps were the only times we BDd twice in a day within 2 days of ov..which makes sense with his numbers..soooo, buying up on opks and thats what well do this time too! Am wondering where that puts us with FA though, I wonder if theyll give me more clomid with his results like they are or go straight to IUI?any ideas?

Pepi yaye!!!!! I'm so happy for you and will keep my fingers crossed nice and tight that this is your miracle!! Soda sorry the results for your DH weren't too flash but you sound like you have a good plan! Keep on to those "2 a day" maybe I can't help on the FA thing though, but have you had a look into Vitamenz for your DH? Apparently they are super!

Congrats pepi wishing you all the best for your next bloods.
Soda sorry to hear of the not great result. Like storm says maybe some vitz will be the magic thing. I guess they'll either recommend iui or ivf. Not sure where you'd stand on funding either.
Hope others are well. Had a test run on aspirin this week as there's a family history of allergy but all seems well here. Day 13 so fingers crossed I ov tomorrow and things keep on track for this cycle. Couple days late and I'm pulling pin until end of November.

Soda don't panic too much about the percentage, what were his numbers? If they're still in the good range then all is not lost!
FX for on-time ov BC!
And pepi... hoping your bloods rise exponentially for your next test!!

his count itself is good- 150 million per mil.. so thats very good. the doc is very pleased with that. its just that they want there to be way more that are actually alive and swimming the right way lol. but at least we have something to work off. its definitely fixeable so all good. its just going to take a good 3 months to fix it. im not panicking.. just glad we know where we are at :)

Congrats Pepi! Hope the rise is fantastic and s/he is just a slow starter! Soda - sorry to hear his result weren't great but sounds like they aren't terrible either so there is plenty of hope! BC - fingers crossed for timely ov!
AFM - feeling pretty down last couple of days. Not particularly hopeful for this cycle. 6dpo today so halfway. I am going to wait to see if AF arrives (or so I say now) before I think about testing. For anyone who has used messaries.... Can a regular pharmacy make them up for you? I live in a small town so just wondering. The specialist told me which pharmacy he normally tells people to go to but that's hours away so would be easier to try here if I can.

Unfortunately this one didn't stick - the beta dropped right back to 8 and so we are out. Waiting for CD1 and just relieved that we can jump straight back on that $2000 horse this cycle - rather than having no idea when we might next be able to try . Thanks so much for all your support. See ya in around 10 - 14 days I suppose.

Hey girls,
Soda LOVE your determination and positive thinking. I'm with you....we WILL win this game. Pepi - hope you're doing ok hun. And how's everyone else? Hope everyone's had a lovely day. I've been busy enjoying my first whole weekend at home since April doing all those exciting things like dusting, cleaning the oven and window among other things lol. Who know's what's going on with the old ov thingy. I had ewcm day 11 and possibly a little ovary pain (didn't think much of it as only day 11) then mostly creamy stuff since so I thought it must've happened without me noticing but THEN day 15 I got a good lot of ewcm again (sometimes happens few days after ov thought) then some rumbling in my ovaries today so ???? I dunno lol. Day 16 today if haven't ov'd by today or tomorrow then IVF for next cycle is out due to work commitments. Trying not to worry at this point - it won't change anything!

Well BC I hope that AF plays the game for once in her life and shows up when you want her to!!! AFM - 10dpo today. Was feeling really really hopeful and for once in my life caved and tested 7 and 9dpo.... both startk BFN's. Feel like an idiot now. I guess I'm not out til the witch shows but given I only have a 12 day LP normally I guess I would have expected something by yesterday. Who knows but I'm not feeling confident at all anymore.... pretty sure the signs are there that AF is on her way!
Hope our new graduates are doing well - MissB!!!! Also sorry pepi - sucks to have the good followed by the bad news! Hopefully you can get on with the next step ASAP.

Bummer nzvegie. I hear ya on not knowing what's what - I feel like I have little trust in my body although in saying that it is back on track and exactly as it was before mc so I should take solace in that.

Hi ladies, gosh it's been a little quiet here for last few days.
Glad your bodies recovered now from your mc Babycrazy and your cycles are normal again. When do you think you'll try IVF again?
Sorry to read of your bfn tests NZVeggie.
Like your post Soda, you go girl.
I have an IVF question..I started buserelin jabs last week, does this med alter the length of your cycle? The nurse has noted down when my day one should be but that date would mean current cycle is 3-4 days longer than usual.

So sorry that it hasn't worked pepi
Good luck for your upcoming ivf BC - hoping this is finally it for you!
I think I've finally given up on the idea of this happening for us without treatment. I do have mild endo (grade 2 found during lap Aug last yr) and DH does have borderline low sperm counts, but I thought if we were patient enough it would happen, as these aren't major prohibitive issues. However I've just had a bloody 22 day cycle and it's been freakin 3 and a half years next month.
So we'll wait to see a fertility specialist again, and hopefully can be put straight on clomid 100mg (tried few rounds of 50mg last year).
I know everyone's path is different because everyone has different issues, but with what I've just mentioned can anyone tell me what the process is like? Will they recommend trying IUI for us, and if so is there a long wait for that? Do they put you on drugs for IUI? How many IUI's would they do before recommending IVF? Can you be doing that and already be on IVF wait list?
Sorry for all the questions. I know I can google this stuff but it helps massively to know other people's experiences with the NZ system. TIA!!!

Ok it turns out I also don't understand how to see a fertility specialist??
I thought for it to be publicly funded I had to be referred through the DHB and be seen at the hospital, and that fertility associates is private and therefore costs a lot. But can you also see FA and have public funding? I believe we'd meet the criteria.
So confused.

Right - so yes rach you can go straight to fertility associates and still get public funding. If you wait and go through dhb you'll still get to FA just takes longer. We paid for our first few appts then were switched to funding for treatment. You go on list then do whatever package they recommend. Iui is 4 x cycles of that which equals one public funded package (you get two public funded packages) and ivf is one full cycle of ivf. You have the option of maybe paying for iui then saving your funding for ivf. Drugs with iui depends on you and your cycles. Mine were natural others have had drugs. Hope that helps a little bit!
