Yay storm that's only a couple weeks away. And that means not long till you can do the Fet!
Rach I can totally get you holding back from training as a midwife. You'd have to be in a really good place to offer that level of support to a woman.
Enjoyed the sun today. Have my house a good shake up and clean which I usually do each holidays. Now that AFhas gone and my hormones are level I'm feeling dare I say it a little hopeful that one day soon I'll get my baby. Call it pre-ov glow or whatever but I'm gonna ride the happy wave as long as I can. This weekend was 'the' weekend Paige was supposed to arrive and strangely I feel more calm about it now than I have for the past two weeks. Goes to show how 'f'd up my blimming hormones are pre AF. Anywho enough ramble from me - next time I'm feeling low can someone remind me it's AF on her way so I don't think I going insane lol!!!

Yay Storm thats close! At least u dont have too long to wait! Haha BC, will be sure to remind you about AF. Hormones can be a b@#$h at times. My AF is normally very mild hormone wise but taking the drugs, wow. Towards the end I felt I had baby brain so badly and all over the place. It's crazy. I do hope you have a nice weekend and do something small for Paige We got our letter for our follow up appointment. Its on the 3rd, so not far away. Hope DH will be able to make it with being in the middle of calving at the moment.

Thanks girls. It's been ok (as long as I don't let my mind wander). I did the one thing I said I wouldn't and had drinks with my girlfriends. But it's actually been a good distraction.

Thanks guys. 14 collected, can which is exactly the same number as last time, when we got two embryos. We're trying IMSI this time so hoping it improves numbers a bit.

Thanks ladies, it is pretty soon and I'm pleased I'm not having to wait too long for the lap and then have to wait another cycle to get back to our transfers! Even though I still have to wait a full cycle after the procedure which will be torture LOL Am expecting to get the costings of it all today, so that I can put in for pre-approval with insurance! BC I'm pleased to hear you had a few drinks with your friends. Sometimes it's the best therapy! I hope you managed as ok as you can do, your strength through this all as been such an inspiration! Now that AF has passed (and all those nasty hormones LOL) you're that much closer to trying again AA great number collected! Fingers crossed the IMSI gets you some good embryos this time. Will they be calling you today? Big hi to everyone else - how are we all doing?

Hey everyone, thanks for the wishes. 9 fertilised normally but apparently storm morphology was really poor and it was difficult finding any sperm that were normal so that sounded pretty fecking depressing. Will find out on Friday with transfer what happens but I keep comparing to last time where we had 12 fertilised at this point and only got one embryo that made it. Gah. Stupid waiting game.
Glad your waiting is lessened Storm

Haha Auntie - posting from your phone again? I did think you meant sperm! It's hard not to compare things from last time, but remember every time can be different. We thought we would've been in for the same with our first IVF which resulted in one embryo to transfer only - compare to the last one, we had 6 to freeze! Fingers crossed for your call on Friday - man they really make you wait don't they!! Gah my lap has now been moved to Wednesday next week rather than the Thursday. Thursday worked so much better for me than Wednesday LOL oh well. Mushroom was thinking of you earlier, hope everything with your lap went well today?

Well f**k. We were lucky enough to get pregnant from our one frozen embryo on IVF1. Unfortunately the little tyke stopped developing at 6 weeks (confirmed by 8 week scan, too small and no heartbeat). I had very painful cramps and bleeding about 6w+3. Am now waiting to see if I miscarry naturally or if I need to help it along. Can anyone explain how the D&C procedure works in NZ?

ADN I'm so sorry for your loss. Take care of yourself! I can't offer advice on D&C sorry but sadly there are ladies here than can help.
I have just received letter from Neil regarding the 12 vials of blood tests I had LOL and everything is normal! Like everything!! My AMH still looks great, lupus anticoagulant all normal, auto antibodies all normal, tostestrone, thyroid normal! Gah! Even both DH and I had normal chromosome karyotype tests. Which to be honest is the one I was worried about - given the losses. So am super pleased about that! But still, no reason at all - maybe the lap will show something.....

Oh ADN I am so sorry. I've been in your position with my first IVF. It sucks! Same thing stopped growing at 6wks and found with no heartbeat at 8wks. I waited two weeks after last scan to see if I miscarried naturally (and for the school holidays - I'm such a considerate employee!) then had my D&C. So with that I went under a general and they basic clean out the uterus. I arranged it through my specialist as he is also Gynae at my local hospital.
Any other questions fire away. I initially didn't want to go down the d&C route but once I knew it I'd lost it I just wanted it over with so I could move on.
Again I'm so sorry. If you need to talk I'm always here.
Storm - glad those bloods came back ok but frustrating it doesn't give a magic answer.
