Glad to hear your feeling better Storm and that you are moving forward to the next one. Wow #4 is it? How do you feel about that?

I'm going ok, i feel really numb/reserved/guarded at the moment and have to keep reminding myself that i am pregnant. My bloods were done today and results are back at 5800 so its were it should be and they are happy with it. My next thing is a scan which is in 2wks (9th). That will make me 8wks along.

Storm i have everything crossed that this is your successful round, you deserve a break. It would be so helpful to understand why you have so many CPs as surely this is the key to getting and staying pregnant.

2 fur babies i am sorry i cant help, but leaving messages with no response is not great service. 1 year with no contact is a long time, keep calling until you get to talk to someone useful. I always find the afternoons are better to get in touch with people in Dunedin FA.

Sweetpea the first few weeks just seem to go on forever... The scan will be exciting :-)

AFM I haven't done anything about talking to FA or doc etc. It was so traumatising going through the medical system with a dozen blood tests and 4x scans last time and a rollercoaster of emotions when i was told all was good/not good/good not good that i am thinking of doing no testing this time. Maybe just getting a scan at 8 weeks to see if all is developing. I know my dates pretty accurately because i had a scan at ovulation.
I have a beautiful son (3yo) amd ttc since September 2014. MMC September 2016.

Hey 2 Fur Babies. We are with FA CHCH and are using donor sperm. The approx funding wait has been 12 months for us and now we are just awaiting donor sperm to become available for us. I put a call into them last week, they did take 2 days to come back to me as the needed to make some calls to find out roughly how much longer the wait was estimated to be. Apparently it's about a 14 month wait for a donor. Have you done your counselling sessions? And have you made the top of the public list for funding? If you haven't they may not be able to give you a time frame for donors? i recommend giving the new patient coordinator another call :) Hope that helps - that's what i have experienced :)

Sweetpea, I hope the 2 weeks doesn't go too slow for you!

Fair call Lulu, how many weeks are you now?

Wow sweetpea great numbers!!! I'll be hanging out with you for your scan hehe
And yip, this is IVF #4 for us I still find it hard to believe that we've come this far and still trying, when I had DD so easily I never would've dreamed that this is what I would do to have another very overwhelming at the moment! But on we go, picking up drugs today and start injections tonight! I have this feeling of just wanting to get it over with!

Lulu totally understandable with what you went through last time! Have you done anymore HPT's?

2furbabies I haven't had any experience with that sorry, but find it very shocking you haven't had a response from your messages left for them!!! Wow! Hopefully someone calls you back soon! I'd be leaving them a message daily at this point. Good luck!

Storm, i know what you mean there. Went took a while to conceive our son but i didn't think #2 would be so hard and take such a journey to get too. It's not an easy one that is for sure!
Good luck with your first injection tonight, but you should be a pro by now And i can understand the wanting to get on with it and be at the end.

Lulu, i get that you don't want to go through all the betas i hate them when it is all going well so when it is not, i would hate even more. How are you feeling?

2 Fur babies, i would be calling them again and again until you have heard from them. It is not good enough that they have not been back in touch!

hi everyone, I have been sitting back reading all of your posts over the last few months. Sweat Pea & Lulu big congrats to you guys!

Sweatpea what great numbers you are getting on your blood tests, good luck for the scan.

2Fur Babies, FA have a thing where they basically guarantee calling you back if you call before 4.30, both the chch and Dunedin clinics are like that, its not good enough, maybe your only option is to go to the clinic in person?

I have started 3rd round of IVF today. well kind of. on Burserilin for down regulation, then start gonal F about the 8 March, haven't done the down reg before, so don't really understand it but am trusting that my specialist knows what she's doing.

I feel more in control this time, not so scared of failure like I was with IVF#2 in September. I have been seeing a hypnotherapist for the last 4 months, and she has given me a recording to listen to every night, its all about visualising producing the perfect egg and having the best IVF experience. My brain was at an all time negative low at the end of 2016, where I was on the verge of getting anti-depressants. so I am doing my very best to turn it around, with any negative thought, I push it away and replace with a positive. it's weird but I feel ready for this IVF#3, this is the round that will give me a baby.

Good luck for this round Storm.

Oh Kiwi I'm sorry!! Hope you are ok hun.

Rosey good on you for taking a turn with your outlook on this all. I for one have def been trying to do that a bit more, and actually said to the nurse when I collected my drugs today that I just want to get this round over with now, she said to me to try make this round a positive experience, and she's right, I should. I came into 2017 telling myself, this is my year! I'm going to be have a baby this year or at least be well on my way to having one this year... but coming into our last round I lost a little bit of that I think. I'm actually about to go into this last round of ours with a negative outlook, already convinced it's not going to work! And I shouldn't! So I'm going to take a leaf out of your book and try make this a positive experience and visualise the good stuff!!

Kiwi - I'm so sorry, hope you are ok.

Hi Storm - I know how you are feeling, it just gets so hard to see anything positive, I felt the lowest of lows late last year.

this is such a hard journey, I have been on this for 5 years and can't believe where the time has gone!

I am not an expert, my default always seems to be negative but I am really trying to change that.

try saying to yourself when you are on your own, in the car, in bed, that you are going to have a baby, and that you this is what is supposed to happen this time, the whole IVF process is bringing you closer to the end goal of a baby for you. I know this sounds a bit doolally (is that how you spell it), but if you are like me and have tried everything, what have you got to lose.

I used to have a moto of think the worst and the worst will never happen, and that hope is a dangerous thing and if I hope and it doesn't work it will hurt more. I have been made to see that hope is good, and the more positive I can be the better I can cope with challenging situations

hopefully I have bought some positivity to your day. xx

Oh gosh, had a wee break and just caught up. So sorry to hear your results Storm :(

2 fur babies: as far as I'm aware you'd be right near the top of general public funding in Welly however I'm not sure about the wait list for donor sperm, sorry.

News for us is that we're dealing with egg quality issue so when we do our two public funded rounds that's likely the end for us (if they don't work). Fingers crossed for awesome rounds.

Hi all. I finally got an email today at 4 pm which said she would check out where we are and get back to me tomorrow. Tht was after I had left numerous voicemessages all before 4.30.
Yes we have done our counselling sessions and been told in Sept last year tht thy had a donor for us to look at only to be emailed the nxt day basically saying that thy had got it wrong and sed I would need to go on the donor list. I emailed back and said they were confusing me and not answering the questions I was asking and I have been on the list since Feb and she replied and said sorry English is not my first language and she would leave me to deal with another nurse and not a word since.

Kiwi so sorry to hear! :(

ADN how did you find out it was an egg quality issue?

2fur I would be making a formal complaint! That's not good enough! The chch clinic always call me back the same day

Great numbers sweetpea!

AFM got my AMH levels back today and they're 22 she said that puts me in the 50th percentile and is good but is it?
I'm 32yrs old.
I asked her to check what my result was the first time I got it done and it was 21.7 so seems it's slightly gone up!?

Hey 2fu babies, that's odd that they said they had one for you to look at last year. From what we have been told by FA chch, we get four donor profiles to look at. Are you chatting to a nurse of the new patient coordinator? We went on the donor list 2nd feb last year and still waiting - I know how frustrating the wait is! If I was you, i would make a complaint about them not returning your messages, that's really bad! Especially when the message says they will. I hope you get some answers and the wait isn't too much longer for you 😊

Rosey, love the positivity!

Hey Katie, at the time thy had put us on the donor list and a note to say we wanted a specific ethnicity which they said there was no wait time if one came avaliable. The Dr told us when we went for counselling last year tht there was a note on our file that there was a maori donor available. I had to end up calling them to say that we were not looking for a specific etnicity because that was not an issue and they had made an assumption because my husband was maori.

I have been leaving messages for the nurse. I didn't know there was a new patient coordinator. I don't really talk to anyone and have just been waiting in limbo. Have you had to contact them or have they kept you updated?

2 Fur babies, maybe hit up reception and tell them you're having trouble getting answers and see what they say?

Faith, it seems to be my lack of producing enough follicles, not having eggs in the follicles, and then having enough be mature and resulting in decent embryos. Blergh

Wow so much to catch up on.

Kiwi i am so sorry.

Storm, this really has to be your turn. Good luck with the jabs.

2Furbabies glad to hear you got a response, finally, but sheesh talk about making life harder for you! Hopefully you get to talk to someone who will tell you what is happening straight up.

Faith chances are the margin or error is to explain the difference, but either way they sound like good numbers, 50th percentile just means 1/2 the population have more and 1/2 have less so you are in the middle of normal.

Rosie good work on the positive mindset. Well done for doing something positive to change your mindset. i really need to learn how to turn around my thinking also.

AFM - i am feeling very normal, and i haven't got any more HPTs so haven't even retested. I feel much more relaxed about this than last time, so managing to just wait patiently! I need to call FA to book in an ultrasound in a couple of weeks.

I have a beautiful son (3yo) amd ttc since September 2014. MMC September 2016.

That's frustrating that they just made the assumption! We were asked in our counselling session what sort of donor we were after. I had left a message for a nurse once but didn't get a response so tried the new patient coordinator - who was really helpful. Maybe that could be worth a shot? We hadn't had any contact from them so I made contact just before Xmas. Works hectic so I was trying to sus out when we might come up! Sorry your having a rough time :( it's no fun, but I'm sure our turns will be Soon :)
