Yeah I find keeping busy helped / helps me through the tricky times storm. Wish they could find out why it keeps happening!!! Have you got more bloods tomorrow?

How's everyone else? Grads included?

Still in bed reading my book and procrastinating about getting up as I told myself I have to get my school camp stuff sorted out today. One of those jobs that'll probably not turn out to be as bad as I make it lol.

LOL BC I too am procrastinating getting out of bed and starting the day! I do have bloods tomorrow, of course I'm not expecting too much from them. No AF yet although all my others it started around 15dpo only once it's started 17dpo which is today, so expect this arvo or tomorrow it will show.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend and keeping chins up

Storm my heart just aches for you. I'm so sorry you have to keep going through this and that no one can tell you why. You are in my thoughts.

Glad you are in the process of another IVF cycle BC, I hope this is the one for you! Looking forward to following your progress.

AFM, I am about to ov again so crossing my fingers this is the magic cycle after my CP last month. Went out and had a sneaky wine with my hubby last night to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary and had such a lovely (child free!) evening.....maybe that was just what I needed

Well Storm until AF shows I'm going to cling onto a glimmer of hope for you hun but totally get how you must be feeling.

BG - ooh I hope this was the magic month. Good on you for getting out and having a nice night with the hubby. And the wine too! I admit when I'm not actively in a cycle of ttc or FET I enjoy a drink when I can. It's what keeps remembering that I can be normal.

Managing to achieve some headway into the camp organising. Might even carry on and do some other school work since the weathers crap and its cold. Hope everyone's staying warm!

Thanks BC and BG that glimmer of hope can be let go of now… right on que, not long after I posted yesterday morning, AF arrived! it's funny how AF arriving can put your mood back! I was starting to feel ok about the HPT's but getting AF is always just another reminder I guess .

I'm just so so baffled by it now as it happens the exact same every time - like clock work! I don't think the specialists take that onboard at all though. Might have a chat to my GP, I'm due to go see her for the dreaded smear, so might talk to her about it.

BG yaye for OV coming up! And good on you for living life and enjoying a wine. I did twice this past weekend! It's not as if never drinking is helping me! LOL

BC good luck for your scan today!

Oh dang storm!!! I'm so sorry :(
Scan went well. Didn't get a number but def over 14 that she recorded all growing nicely. Waiting for clinic to call with next instructions. Probably trigger tomorrow I'd say. Killing time by shopping, fun but not good for the bank balance when you're paying for ivf lol.

Yay Bc for lots of eggies!
ahh storm thats just crap.. im so sorry Cry
im out for the month again too... started spotting last night so AF should be here tomorrow in force.. so thats probably us for the year if im honest.. DH and I had a big, emotional chat last night about it- he even got pretty emotional too which is very unlike him! its just taking its toll i think, hes terrified we wont get pregnant again, and even more terrified that if I do, ill mc again and he doesnt know how hell handle that. He even said hes wondering if we should just stop trying and not have more kids.. which i wasnt wanting to hear at all but i guess hes allowed to feel that too- i know i have in the past months!  he really opened up a lot last night which was good, but i never truly knew just how much all this was really affecting him too. so i think the healthiest thing for us to do is take a step back this month and just enjoy each others company, try to think about ttc as little as possible (near impossible while waiting for the FA appointment letter and next month being my angels due date etc...but thats how it is i guess..) so ill be on here, checking in on you guys, but might just hang back a little for a while to try and forget about all this for a bit and refocus on my marriage... if thats not put first, then all this is pointless to me.. sure is exhausting though!

Lol no pressure soda. And sorry for being a bit blah yesterday - I'm lucky to even be going through this again and having the chance. We'll blame it on drugs haha.
So made my early morning mission to welly - arrived late thanks to appalling traffic. Stinky because our power went out in a storm and we're on a water pump so no water at home and no shower. Yet more joy of living in the country but wouldn't trade it for any other life esp after that traffic today!!!

Hugs nzvegie I'm sorry you've been feeling down.
And soda hugs to you too xxx

Just re-read your first post soda. Good idea taking a step back. You really have to work hard at relationships during fertility struggles as we all know. Enjoy hanging with the man xx

Thanks ladies. I'm finding it very hard to get motivated to do anything lately! I hate this point, just want this feeling of sadness to go away already! Ugh! SO I feel you right now NZVeg, and I hope you are feeling better today. I too am eating wayyyyy to much comfort food - and of course can't be motivated to exercise!

Anyways - BC hope the scan goes well today! I still find it crazy how quick the whole IVF stuff moves along! Do they still think it's looking like going straight to freeze?

Soda hugs hun! So sorry AF arrived. Sounds like a great idea taking some time for your marriage. DH has said to me before too that maybe it's just the one we are supposed to have - but then the next month he asks if I'm OV'ing yet LOL think his hopes are a little higher than mine still - which makes it hard.
I hope you guys get a whole lotta fun in together! And enjoy the "non timing" BD'ing

Hi BC, that's a good number of follies shame about having an extra trip, 7hrs driving's not fun.

Sorry your AF arrived Soda, it must be good to have DH open up, guys keep it inside so much.

Well I was suppose to have egg collection this week (1st IVF), I had a 6 hr round trip to Dunedin yesterday, had bloods and scan and was told that I hadn't responded to the meds. I had thought about the IVF not working but it never occurred to me I wouldn't even be able to do EC. 5 small follies and estradiol level was 44 instead of in the thousands. Really frustrating as I responded better with clomid tablets than I have with three weeks of jabbing meds that have cost us thousands of dollars.

Sorry NZVevggie I don't have any good news.

Oh Tulip so sorry hun! That really sucks for you. The money side of IVF is really hard to shake when it doesn't work at all huh. What do they suggest happens next when this happens? Do you still pay all the money etc?

Tulip I had the same thing happen to me on my first round of ivf so I understand how you will be feeling. I was absolutely gutted. What drugs were you on and what dose? Do you know what the next step will be?

BC glad to hear your ivf is trucking along!

Hope everyone else is doing ok. I've just been laying low and trying to forget about ttc for a while - takes up too much time! Got my apt next week to discuss our next round of ivf.

Hi ladies, thanks so much for your messages. We hadn't told anyone we were trying IVF so it's really nice to be able to share with you all on this forum.

Hi Nik26 sorry to read this has happened to you as well. I was taking 40 of Buserelin and 300 of Gonal F which they said was the highest doses they prescribe.

I've made an appointment to see our specialist mid Nov to figure out what to do next. I've previously done 5 monitored clomid cycles and always had 4 follies each cycle so maybe I can try IVF using a higher dose of clomiphene?? We paid a $6,000 deposit and the nurse said I'll get some of that back but no idea how much the meds cost.

My DP once said to me "At least you have a child of your own". That hurt sooo much, I feel like a failure not being able to give him a child.   My DD is 13, DP and I were together for 5 years before he agreed to start TTC. I told him that after age 35 our chances decrease but he said they were just statistics. Now 3 years of TTC and I partly blame him as I never wanted to leave it until late 30's before having more children. My low AMH shows that age is a factor in our troubles.

Sorry I'm venting/complaining which isn't right as I know some of you are trying to TTC#1 and I'm lucky to have DD.

NZVeggie my fingers are crossed for the next 2 weeks for you, hope the days speed up so the wait goes quicker.

Ugh tulip I'm so sorry it didn't work out!! How blooming frustrating. Vent away hun I think it still sucks whether you have one or none already. And all the driving to hear that kind of news stinks!

Hugs to the other girls. Things are really tough now but we will all get through it.

We've had no power for the last day and half which has sucked big time but it's back on now yay.
Anywho scan went well at least 10 good looking follies and millions smaller so it's a freeze all situation with ec Friday. So one more trip to Wellington for now.
