Hi everyone, I havent been here for awhile but have been trying to catch up with how you are all doing.
BC hope your EC goes well this week.
I have been doing my 2nd round of IVF and had EC on Sunday, transfer today. The Dr at FA added testosterone patches to my cycle this time and from what I have read online (thx Dr Google) these may improve egg quality. They got 6 eggs, 2 were immature but the other 4 fertilised. In my first round we got 9 eggs and 5 fertilised so pretty good I think. Just waiting for that pre transfer call from the embryologist with an update on how things are going. Nerve wracking!! We are hoping there are 2 of decent quality cos even though the drs dont want to transfer 2 we are going to try pushing for it anyway. This is our last chance to have this work so might as well go for it I think.
sorry I havent commented to all of you but I am sending positive vibes your way.

Thanks. All went well except for the torture of the full bladder. Was so full that it was obstructing the drs view so had to go pee half way through, lol! They did agree to 2 though so now we wait.

Yeah, dr freaked me out a bit when she said 2 could become 3. Im good with 2 but 3 is a lot ;-) Increased risk at my age (40 now) etc but glad they let us too.

Well not to freak you out even more but last FET I only put one in and it became twins so......fingers crossed that hasn't happened! Yours was a Day 3 transfer wasn't it? Mine was day 5 and specialist said that sometimes when they're turning into a blasto and being put back, in the process can split into two. Maybe less likely if day 3.
Either way I hope you get a bfp out of it all x
AFM - my boobs are mega sore! I so can't wait till Friday and some relief from all the drugs. I don't remember feeling so uncomfortable at this point last time. Anyway trigger this evening...one more needle to deal with.

Aww thanks Lesley! Have arrived and waiting. Feel like my ovaries are going to explode. Had to drive myself down as dh had urgent work this morning but he's coming later to drive me home. Ridiculous I know but such is the life of a contractor.

Great news for you Lesley! Good luck today BC - thinking of you and hope you get lots of gorgeous eggs! AFM - into the 6th week and 3 blood tests down - everything tracking well. Scan on the 28th which I think will make everything a little more real :-) Big hellos to everyone else!

Yay FC for good bloods hope scan goes well. Just finished collection and thankfully it wasn't as painful as last time but still smarted. Not sure what the count is yet. Hopefully it's decent.

Yay BC - good to hear it wasn't as bad as last one coz tht was a bit dramatic from memory :). When do thy call to say how the eggs are doing? Yay FC for ticking along nicely! Scan will definitely make it more real Lesley - glad they put 2 in. Hope one (or both) sticks!!!!

Just been told they got 11eggs which hopefully means they're better quality. Lots of follies that were empty so still freeze all which given the fact I feel quite uncomfortable it's best that way. I'll get a call tomorrow with how they're doing.

How are you doing storm? Well..... Rather interesting rest of my day. Waited for dh to pick me up, went to leave and go down to meet him by the time I got outside I was practically passing out on the pavement! Luckily the nurse had gone with me so off she carted me back up for more monitoring. Blood pressure was low (just usual for me). Anyway then I finally scoff a burger as so hungry not 40mins later I start to feel yuck again so got dh to pull over and get me an ice block he's gone 2mins and I start throwing up my lunch lol. Thankfully the nurse had also given me a towel and vomit cups haha. Felt 100 times better after that. Now I'm home finally. Bit sore but will take some anti flam before bed and should come right. Beauty of freeze all is being able to take what I like for pain. Anyway hope you're all good my dears xx
