Hi Soda That's good Fert plus are doing some more tests and giving you progesterone. Don't blame you for wanting a break when we've taken some it's been a relief to not think about TTC/babies etc for a month or two.
My lower ab pains have only just gone away, not sure what day implantation normally takes place??

Hi all,
Have been lurking but first time I've had a chance to sit down and really catch up on what's going on - and boy that's a lot! Even just on the last 3 pages there are seem like about a dozen messages of "Congratulations" (yay RachFizz!), "Commiserations" and "Fingers crossed" to be sent out. I'm going to be rude and lazy and not do individual messages - sorry! Great to see so many people in the middle of treatment with some promising sounding symptoms! Hopefully we are going to end up with a massive due in Nov/Dev group!
AFM had my scan / Bloodtest this morning and everything is looking good so start pessaries tomorrow and transfer next week! Eeeeeeeeeeee!!!! Feels so surreal for things to finally be going our way after 5 yrs of failures, cancellations etc.
Any tips re. Dealing with the messy pessies (as I'm calling the rogesterone)? Especially dealing with the lunchtime dose while at work?

Good luck sweet, very exciting. Sorry no tips on the pessaries, I haven't done those.
Fairylight, thanks for asking. Ovaries feel hot and swollen, I haven't had any cramping but I also feel like stuff is happening that I don't normally feel (pinching and the like). I'm definitely not even close to implantation as I'm only 4dpo or so.
Tulip implantation is typically anywhere from 6dpo - 12 dpo. Most common implantation window is 9dpo- 10 dpo.
Hope you are having a lovely weekend all. xx

Re the pessaries, I just wear a liner... They are pretty yuck, but worth it if it works... We were told to do the pessaries at set amount of times apart- 7am, 3 pm and 11pm... The 11 is annoying but if I go to bed early I have alarms set on my phone so I don't forget! Nervous about the phone call in the morning to tell us how our embies are developing!

Thanks Charlie. Morning and evening shouldn't be too much of a hassle. My work day is really irregular so trying to do at a set time during the day is going to be a challenge - but to the first or the last challenge in this trip!

Liners a must with yucky pessaries, morning, after work and before sleep is what I'm doing SweetC but I wasn't told they needed to be taken same time apart.
Thanks HT gosh so it could have been implantation, although the pain was sharp and constant for 6 hr and I haven't experienced that with the other pregnancies. Argh 2WW so frustrating it's a constant battle of not looking for sign/symptoms to not get hopes up. Fingers crossed for you HT and hope the next 1 1/2 weeks passes quickly for you.

Thanks Tulip... trying to stay calm and steady. I did some reading that we only have a 3% chance of success so it truly be a miracle. Just chilling and trying not to symptom spot. bahaha ;-)
Best wishes Charlie, will be thinking of you. Wahoo sweet, not long to go! I really hope it was implantion for you Tulip. Someone needs to join RachFizz :-) Here's to a whole bunch of dec babies.
P.S. The joke in our house is that these twins (two follies) are called Pam and Patrick in honour of the week they were inseminated in ;-) Did I tell you that already? Doh!

Sometimes just doing something proactive (even if it doesn't amount to anything) can make the world of differ nice in how you feel Soda! The worst thing is feeling like a passive bystander with no control over your own life!
Charlie - how are those embies doing?

Wahoo and phew... we won the cricket
How are your embies Charlie? xoxo been thinking about you. I'm 7dpo IUI today. Nothing worth mentioning, just chillaxing and trying not to drink too much instant coffee. I bought some new vitamins this week for huby and I. Supergreens (it is a powder), one of the ladies at the kids swimming said her DH took it when they got pregnant. It was the only thing different in their routine. $32 a pack but well worth a shot ;-). I'm not sure my DH has tried it yet but I had a glassful this evening, not the foulest thing I have ever ingested.

hi to everyone Hope the vitamins work HT. just rang otago fertility services and they said my referral hadn't been sent, so had to ring southland hospital who said it was sent last month but they faxed another copy through as they said otago usually say they haven't got referrals. Also asked otago about wait times and got told it was about 4 months and that they try to give a months notice of an appointment where possible as I'm out of Dunedin.

Hi Everyone, we had our best embryo replaced yesterday and got to watch the video on it developing over the past few days - pretty amazing that that bunch of cells can turn into a person! I was a bit upset at the transfer as we were told only 1 embryo had made it to freezing, and I had in my head we would get more based on the last cycle... But I know we only need one to work, so hoping this is the one... Just had a phone call today to say that we actually have 3 that have made it to be frozen today, so am happy we have a few more chances to hopefully get a sibling for the embryo in at the moment (a girl can hope aye)... xx thanks for thinking of me over the past few days, it is so nice to know there are people you haven't even met that genuinely hope for the best for you through these tough times!

Watching the video sounds AMAZINGLY Charlie - so special! It's fascinating how little humans are made - it's almost hard to understand how any of us are really. And great news about your frosties!

woooow Charlie that sounds so cool! I hope if i get to IVF i get to see that- get something cool out of all this lol! Annashev that wait time isnt too bad- about the same as auckland (mine was about a 3.5-4 mth wait), and it could come earlier than that if there are cancellations. heres hoping! HT cant hurt to try those things huh- at least its extra vitamins etc to help things along if nothing else! yeah im seriously thinking about going for one of the jobs ive seen- a coordinator for a home based care agency... so still using my teaching degree but not in a classroom setting- lots of driving around and encouraging/empowering/teaching the educators rather than teaching the kids..would be a nice change and a new challenge while not being too full on (just 20 hours a week to start) and when pregnant i can probably work right up to my due date as theres no heavy lifting or sitting on teeny preschool chairs all day (which is HORRIBLE in the 3rd tri!) ..just messaged them to find out where abouts in auckland its based and go from there- could still be a no-go...but worth a try!

Yay Charlie, that's great news! And must have been awesome to see the embies develop.
Anna - in my experience OFS are useless when it comes to processing your info, booking appts and generally getting back to you with any info. Make sure you chase them up every few days til you get an answer. We have actually transferred to Genea (Chch clinic but they send a specialist to invers every few wks) who are way more proactive but can't do anything in the public system so we have to still deal with OFS to get on the public wait list for treatment... I have emailed them 3 times so far to check if we are on the list yet and keep getting told they will come back to me next wk. *sigh.* I think they're just really understaffed but still I reckon it's better to be the squeaky wheel to remind them you're waiting...
