Thanks Charlie. Waiting for the BT just adds insult to injury! We're driving from Levin to FA in Wgtn for the test as local labs all closed for Easter Sunday. Just hoping the traffic isn't too messy. It's hubby's b.day tomorrow as well - we celebrated it a little this evening since we figure we might not be in the mood tomorrow! Was so hoping I was going to be able to give him the best gift this year! Will let you know how it goes.

Hugs Charlie. I was about 4 days after stopping meds. It was just a normal AF both times I had my chemicals. The first was all natural so af turned up last couple days after my first bloods. Good thing is your body is trying so chances are the next will stick. Good luck xxx

Hi ladies, Some may remember me but looks likes there's lots of newbies that aren't too familiar to me. But just a quick update from me, I'm now 8.5wks pregnant, so far things are going well but still so nervous as early days. Lulue, I read your post and we were in your position too with antibodies. I have endo and my partner had the test which confirmed 70% antibodies, we were also guttered as I'd never heard of it, but our doc confirmed to us that using ivf icsi overides antibodies altogether which made us relax. I just did our first cycle of icsi in Feb and although we got 14 eggs only 4 fertilized and none made freezing. So this was our only chance and we were lucky enough for it to work. I just wanna say try not to lose hope as u only need one! And antibodies is daunting but icsi is the answer to overcome that. I also wish everyone else out there the very best of luck with your treatment.

Congrats on your little bean Poppy. I'm sure those first few weeks are nerve-wrecking for any new Mum but maybe more so for those of us who've had to go through so much to get to that point in the first place.
Official BFN for me as expected. Decided not to tell our families today as we didn't want to bring down the festivities over Easter / Birthday lunch. Obviously disappointed but not surprised - nothing has worked first time for us on this journey. Now just want AF to get here pronto so we can start the next cycle (funny how it turns up when you don't want it and is missing when you do!). 5 more frosties so trying to stay positive about that and remember that just because the "best" grade one didn't work that doesn't mean one of the others won't.
Hope you all enjoyed your Easter!

Sorry to hear that SweetConception - hugs, it's been a bit of a downer all round this easter! We are the same, want AF to get here so we can try again... Last year when we got pregnant it was our 2nd embryo from the cycle, so I agree we are just waiting for the right embryo to be put back at just the right time to finally make it to join our family... xx Good luck for your next cycle x

Hi ladies just caught up on the past few pages, so sorry your IUI didn't work HT. SweetC and Charlie so sorry you both haven't had happy Easter news.
I'm putting off having a talk with DF about where to now. We both came away from our last specialist appt with the impression she thought trying IVF again may be a waste of money. My AMH level has dropped to 0.7 and I'm 39 this year. I've been living with my life on hold not wanting to make future plans/career changes etc as having more children was the focus. We've even been putting off getting married in case we needed to use the money for IVF. A big part of me says it's time to stop but then the hopeful side wants to try IVF again with different meds.
Anyway's I hope everyone's been having a lovely Easter and indulging in lot's of chocolate.

Thanks Tulip. I'm sorry to hear things aren't working out as you hoped either. It sounds like you have some really huge and scary decisions ahead of you. I understand what you mean by putting things on hold - I've put off a career change, full-time study, overseas travel and looking into buying a new house all because it either wouldn't be good timing if we DID get pregnant or we'd need the money for more treatment if we DIDN'T get pregnant. You just end up like you're stuck in limbo all the time!
Have you got a "list" of options that you're weighing up the pros and cons of (Eg. Stop, different protocol, donor eggs etc)?
It's hard when you start getting the "waste of time" msg from your specialist. After not even making it to egg retrieval on 2 IVF cycles with Gonal F, plus a failed IVM no embryos making it to day 5 our FA Dr. started saying things like "I'm running out of ideas" and "I think the next step is to consider donor eggs". We are prepared to go down that route if we need to but we didn't feel comfortable / ready to give up on my eggs without at least one more shot. Our Dr understood and was supportive (though I don't think he had much hope) and so we changed to menopur instead of Gonal F. We retrieved 35 eggs, 27 fertilised and 6 made it to freezing! Obviously our first FET didn't work so we haven't got our BFP yet and may still end up on the donor track next year but I'm really glad we listened to OUR gut feeling rather than the Drs.

Thanks for your reply SweetC, I also didn't respond to Gonal F. That's good to read you responded well to menopur and that you've some on ice. How long will you wait before trying another FET?

We'll get stuck straight into another FET as soon as AF turns up - the less waiting around twiddling our thumbs the better.
Going to ask FA about assisted hatching - as anyone had any experience (good or otherwise) with this technique?

Happy Monday/Tuesday Dr Andrew told us that 100% antibodies aren't the end of the world and that he knows of couples that conceived without IVF who had the same issue. This really confused me. He said to give it more time, wait for three months to see what the sperm count does and in the meantime he started me on Provera/Letrozole so we can do timed intercourse. In three months we go back. He said if I am not UTD in 12 months we can look at IVF then. I don't really know what to think. Still no AF, and up to Day 5 on Provera. Hugs Tulip. Those are difficult decisions to make. I wish I knew what what to say.

Hey Bambeana - With provera you won't get AF until around 3-5 days after you stop taking it - it boosts your progesterone, then when you stop it signals your body to start AF. From what I've read, vitamin C can be helpful, and shouldn't hurt, so you might want to get hubby on that :) I'm guessing the doctor suggests waiting for 12 mths, as after then you should be eligible for public funding (you have to have tried for 12 mths following vasectomy reversal). Also, there are always a few cases of spontaenous pregnancies, so you never know if you'll be one of the lucky couples!
Sorry you're out again Star.
AFM, just finished AF and took temp this morning which was on the higher side - will see what temp does over the next couple of days, but last cycle was only 25 days with very early ov (and I have 16 day luteal phase), so not sure what my body is doing given I've been having 40+ day cycles - last cycle was first under 30 days!

AF wont arrive until up to 10 days after you finish your provera Bambeana. it ups your progesterone then when you stop the pills your progesterone plummets over a few days and thats what sets off AF. then from day 2 (or whatever you have been told) you take the letrazole and then can start BDing from about CD10. using OPKS will help pinpoint when you are about to ov then you can go hard out on the BDing from there and use temps to find out when you have ovd. im 3dpo now. home with spotty dotty DD who is going slightly crazy not being able to go anywhere lol. another 9 days until i can test. wedding anniversary this sunday so going out to dinner with DH and DDs going to my mums for a sleepover. bummer i cant have a glass of wine on our anniversary! ahh the things we have to sacrifice...
