Hi ladies. Hope everyone is keeping warm out there... not the nicest day at all in Auckland! Well it would be nicer if you were able to stay tucked up at home with a fire on LOL

Auntie, nope I haven't been able to keep myself distracted till my appointment on Wednesday. Which makes the time go waaaay slower LOL Oh well, at least it's now only 2 days away. If our issue ends up being something that FA should've checked for we will def contest our contract and try get out of there! But again, I'll come to that if needed.
I've been looking up the flush Neil is most likely going to suggest, and have read he likes to do it on CD12 of a cycle (to ensure there is no pregnancy) and if that's like a thing he won't change, then I'll have to wait another cycle before getting it done and then another before back to FET as I'm CD14 today. Grrrrrr. Hopefully it's something he can still work around.

BC that's exciting (well for me LOL maybe a little scary for you) that you're looking at August! Hopefully we'll be cycle buddies in a way

Sweetpea how are you doing? Any sign of AF yet?

A.girl that's great you had a good scan! I hope today's scan goes well too!

Mama P yaye for being PUPO! The wait till bloods is soooo hard and can really mess with your head. Def try find something to distract yourself with other than google LOL when is your blood test?

Mushroom how are you doing? Any news on your lap?

Big hi to everyone else

Hi Storm, no! No sign of AF yet...... it could work in my favour if it ends up being closer to July so just need to wait. I am trying to focus more on my appointment tomorrow with nurse on how to use the drugs and not think about everything else.

Faith, I was with Fert Plus for my first cycle and really liked them, there is a booklet they give you that has great explanations, can find it online - go down to the bottom and the download "IVF Treatment Information"
http://www.healthpoint.co.nz/public/fertility/auckland-dhb-womens-health-fertility-plus/

Storm - 2 days! Hopefully you'll have more answer after that. I hate the waiting thing, and trying to stop myself doing the "well, if the cycle is successful I'll be due in.." type thinking.

Sweetpea - how frustrating! But also kind of handy if it gets you over the July threshold.

I am about to ring FA cos I sent a long email last Monday and have not had a reply. Not even a "we will get back to you" reply. So far they are not impressing me with their communication and compassion. Although the last clinic letter did apologise for not being prepared and having read our notes. At least she recognised that was a failing! Am really pissed cos if i were anything else, I would ring them and say I am unhappy with their service and going elsewhere. Unfortunately they're not like a plumber or internet provider so there's not a lot of bloody choice!

Heya everyone. Faith, FA website has a good summary of the whole ivf cycle. I think it's just a pdf you can download online. I found it helpful when I was investigating the process.
Sweetpea, no af yet?!?! Grrrr. I hope it comes naturally and you don't have to faf around with meds to bring it on.
Storm, I'm anxiously awaiting the results of your apt on Wednesday. Make sure to fill us all in :-)
AA, did you get a hold of FA? That's pretty slack that they haven't responded to your email yet. Are you in Auckland? I highly recommend Repromed.
Good luck, mamaP with the tww. Will you test early? When's your blood test?
BC, I hope you had a nice and relaxing weekend (albeit contained indoors if the weather was anything like it was up here in Auck)
Hi HT and anyone else I didn't mention :-)

AFM, scan today showed one lead follie at 22mm and the rest around 17-19, so trigger shot tonight. Eeek! Egg collection on Wednesday. Thankfully my progesterone hasn't risen too high like it did in the other cycles and my estrogen was a whopping 9000. Hopefully that means lots of eggies ready for harvest on Wednesday.

Thank you auntie and agirl will check them out!
Auntie hope FA got back to you! How fustrating!
Agirl all the best for egg collection on Wednesday.

No FA letter for me today so Wednesday and Friday are mail days left for us this week so if not here by Friday will call them, starting to think I won't come up on the list til September now which would be disappointing

Yaye a.girl that's great you're triggering tonight and the progesterone is playing nicely this time!! Looking forward to hearing how your collection goes Wednesday! 😊

And thanks re: my appt ladies, I too am looking forward to it. I think after Jeanie talked to him he will want to do the bloods for chromosome and the lipidol flish so that's what I'm expecting lol

Gosh AA that's pretty slack if FA! I find them a bit like they though unfortunately. Hope you managed to get to them
on the phone today!

Faith sorry you're having to do the dreaded check the mail stuff! Sounds like a good idea to give them a call come Friday!

Agirl, I am Auckland and loved Fert plus. We were placed there for funding but found them really good and cheaper too if we wanted to go private with them. We've now moved to Tauranga so Hamilton is really our only option unless I want to do a lot of travelling and it's not that practical. I rang them and the nurse is away till tomorrow and specialist away till Wednesday so really hoping they get back to me after that.

Faith, I found the funding coordinator is always really friendly and understanding so don't hesitate to call them if you need to know what's happening.

Good luck for EC Agirl!

Yay agirl exciting for you Hun. Nice to hear your body is finally playing ball.

AA - guts me to hear FA being like that. I've can't say a bad thing about the Wellington clinic so it sucks they're not all as good.

Storm all the best for the upcoming appointment - again gutted FA hasn't been on form.

Afm - had a major WTF moment tonight. And why the heck moments too. Haven't had one of those days in a while. Other than that I'm generally ok. We didn't have too bad weather here so I managed to get outside and into the garden.

BC, sorry to hear you having one of those days!

AA, who are you seeing in Hamilton? I am with them too and have found that you need to be pushy with them.

A.girl, yay for the trigger shot tonight. Good luck with the EC on Wednesday!

So my AF finally arrived and has hammered me tonight! Not normally a late afternoon arrival but today is has its own ideas. I will talk to nurse tomorrow and see where we are at. At least I have it now... will keep you all informed!

That's great news sweet pea!! Just wanted to wish everyone good luck and lots of baby dust for all of those going through egg collection, transfers, injections and waiting this month. Looking forward to hearing your success stories!! I just had our review appt via phone today. It went well. Well it went like I expected. We have had 6 embies transferred with only one bfp which turned out to be blighted ovum. We are unexplained infertility and I am turning 41 in nov and hubby turning 40.

She feels that I responded well during my two cycles and nothing to suggest next round wouldn't be successful. Would up level of drugs from 225 to 300ml and monitor. Also would dos hysteo-something or rather first but thought that would be all good but better to do it than not.

All sounds good, next step for us is to decide if we want to try a third round or not. So watch this space I may get back on the roller coaster ride that Ivf is! Not sure what dh thoughts are, not sure he too keen so who knows.

Wow Sweatpea! That's awesome, good luck :)
We are with Helen Wemyss, got an email back today after I called yesterday and it was reasonably helpful (in a "there's nothing more we can do but here's why" kind of way). Being in Tauranga makes it slightly more awkward but my folks are halfway between so I can drop my son there when I go to appointments and he doesn't need to spend all day in the car.

Storm, good luck for tomorrow. Eek! Let us know how it all goes

Kiwigirl, hope you and hubby find some time and space to chat about what you both want and land up in the same headspace

Kiwi, good luck with the decision making!
AA, we have the same doc. She is a cold fish of a women! I do think she is in the wrong job with her personality but she is meant to be very good at what she does so that's the main thing.
Good luck Storm!

Ha ha ha, so glad you said that sweetpea, though it was just me! She comes across wayyyy better in writing than she does in person. I met Lakshmi for my FET and she came across as warmer but kind of useless and irritating. I don't need a doc to be nice to me, just good as their job as you say!
