Mushroom so good to hear from you! Hope you are recovering nicely hun. Your situation sounds very much like mine! There will be a 7+ yr age gap with my DD (something I never wanted), I've just turned 35 and with the multiple CP's - I'm not sure I'll want to go through more if our last 3 embryos don't work.
So I totally get where you are coming from not wanting to go with more IVF! I so hope you get your miracle baby though Hopefully too, you're pain will be heaps better after your surgery!

Ugh that program certainly gives all sorts of feels huh! I always think, oh I don't need to watch it - but can't help but! LOL But I remember thinking the other night "man, it's just so s**t that so many women have to go through all of this, and for some it's so bli**in easy" and those some aren't always the ones the should!

HI Mushroom
I'm so glad that your op is done and now you have the best chance of feeling the best that you have had in a long time.  May the healing go fast so you feel more energised and pain free soon. My heart and thoughts are with you as you go through this last part of the operation process.

I have had so many dreams for us both since meeting in the specialist's waiting room all that time ago. I am saddened, that like us, after all the investment of time, money, emotion, and sacrifice of all so much to try and make it happen, you might be finishing without the child you have fought for. Argh... the unfairness bites, and placing that grief, sense of failure, and struggle to make this disappointment fit into a bigger picture that magically makes it all make sense and better is simply at times overwhelming.

My wish is that we both get another miracle child where somehow all our reconditioned defective parts magically accept some of our DH's best offerings (their challenges somehow overcome and beaten) and we get to grow another child from within and then get to take them home to raise.

If it isn't to be in this lifetime then I send you happiness and fulfillment my dear. It has been an honour sharing this time and space with you (even though it is one we never wanted to be in). Here is to being the best version of ourselves where we live with authenticity, love, and a huge measure of contentment and peace.

Please don't run away while you journey through the twilight part of trying to conceive. While there is still hope and will, please stay and gain support from us all.
xxxx

So, am sitting here with a VERY full bladder (they're running half an hour late. Arghhhh!) about to transfer or over and only blastocyst. Apparently it's fabulous quality but from the 14 eggs collected, we get this one chance. No pressure, tiny thing. We have had some conversations about what we might do if this is a bust, so that's oddly helpful.
Hope everyone else is warm and dry in this manky weather

Oh Auntie, I'm sorry to hear you have the one from all those collected! But I have everything crossed super tightly that this one is going to be your sticMan, not good to keep you waiting with a full bladder! Eeeekky one!

Dove welcome to the forum. There is plenty to know in this long trying game. Have you been trying for a long time? First baby?

Oh Auntie, i am sorry to hear you only have one! i am hoping so much for you that it sticks and works out for you! Dumb about the full bladder, you would think it would be the one time to keep things moving so you don't have to wait!

Dove welcome to the forum! As storm says, what is your story?

Fxd for your sticky bean Auntie!!!

Glad you've got a plan Mushroom, even though it's not the place you wanted to be. I hope your op brings you better quality of life.

Sounds like you're in for a good old clean out too Storm! All I can say is be ready for recovery to take 7-9 days if they do find and remove lots of endo. I went back to work 6 days after my first op and was pushing it a bit to walk up and down the 2 flights of stairs to our loos.

Welcome Dove. Sorry you have to be here but the support from the ladies in this thread is awesome.

We had our 19wk scan this week and are having a wee girl. Hubby has temporarily named her Pippi, after Pippi Longstocking, as we think she might be a redhead like him (I was strawberry blonde as a baby too). I think it's finally starting to feel real now!

Awww congrats Star. So happy for you and glad everything was well.

Auntie crossing fingers this lil embie is nice and sticky. Sorry that only one made it through though. I remember my first cycle they took 26 eggs and we got two 2 freeze. I was quite gutted not realising how lucky we were then.

Dove welcome.

Yay Star! Wonderful news, half way already :)

Thanks for all your messages, I'm not great at relentless pursuit so I tend to find it easier to expect it not to happen and have a lovely surprise! At least a day 5 embryo means a short wait for a blood test.

Star wow!! Half way. And a beautiful little girl on her way congratulations! She really is going to be your special little miracle girl ❤️

Dove I'm sorry it's been a long time trying for you. Where in NZ are you? There are a few of us here that are with FA in different cities so plenty of experience. Good luck with it all I hope it doesn't take too long for you to get an appointment.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend 😊

Fingers crossed Auntie, thrilled you got a transfer embie on board. Congrats on being official PUPO! whoot whoot. :-).  I have great hope for you xx

What a miserable day! Hopefully better elsewhere. Been trying to snow all day, rainy then sunny but blooming windy all day. Then the power was out till lunchtime. Lol but not to worry been rugged up by the fire, knitting and reading and catching up on tv from the week.

How's everyone going?
Not much to report at my end. Pretty sure I ov'd on Friday so only two weeks till IVF starts. Work this week flew by thankfully. This term is short so only 8 weeks to go....so much to achieve in those 8 wks though.
