So many exciting things happening in the next few days. I'm glad they could find your other ovary Kumoroa and that all is going ahead for the end of the week. Good luck!!!

And good luck with the transfer tomorrow Faith. I agree with the other ladies... don't drink too much. I did the first time and it was awful. Then I hardly drank much the second time and it was fine (and my bladder was full somehow anyway). Fingers crossed the little snow baby thaws perfectly :-)

AND, things are getting real now, huh! Good luck over the next few weeks.

Hi HT, Storm, Sweetpea, Lulu, and any lurkers who are checking in! I hope you girlies are all doing well.

It's been a while since I posted. After the BFN last month, we decided to jump right into a clomid cycle. So I am on day 17 of that right now. I was super upset for a few days because my first blood test at 10 days (after taking the clomid for 5 days) showed my E2 at 50 instead of in the hundreds :-( I was convinced I was going through menopause because it should never really be that low, and I've never had it that low. But luckily it came up to 300 last Friday and at 600 yesterday. So hopefully OV is just around the corner. Still super late for a clomid cycle though. I'm really hoping that there's more than 1 egg developing too - that's the whole reason we're doing this! Still negative opks, so I'm hoping the E2 keeps going up as an extra one develops.

Hi everyone. Hope life is treating you all kind. Well after my hysteroscopy my period has arrived bang on time. Feeling mixed as always. After three years, and two failed rounds of IVf I somehow still cling to the hope that "it might just happen naturally"(As soo many people tell you that happened to their friend)!

But also relief as when I had my Pipelle (which they also did this time) my period was delayed by 3 weeks.

So now onto round three... I have a Skype session with Dr Murray from Wellington as we are transferring up there for ease. Christchurch was great and staff good but I just couldnt do it all again down there as mentally I needed to feel like we had changed something. Made the decision before last earthquake but now even more happy we made the move!!

The question I have if we do the long protocol again and day 1 is today, any clue what roughly transfer date would be? I know I will find out soon but just curious now!! Thanks. AS always my fingers and toes are crossed for all of you no matter where you are in this journey. Remember to take time to look after yourself, and those close as you as you navigate this minefield!

Oh how do I add the banner that you have a.girl?

ADN glad to hear your bk in the game. Hope your feeling okay now the crisis is over.

A.girl, HI! At least your numbers are up high aND climbing. I don't no much about clomid so I hope it all goes ok.

Glad to hear your doing OK kiwi. I would be happy for the move after the last earthquake too.

A question, after a manufactureday transfer cycle did any of your find our cycle length changed? My last one was the shortest it has ever been and I feel like it is coming early again with the pain in my ovaries. Which will put us out for this month as of xmas close down.

Good luck for today Faith!

I'm still hoovering in the background :) After a tough few weeks (sister inlaw announced she is pregnant and is making a very big drama about it all, we're happy for her but as you all understand it sucks when they go on and on about it) we are finally feeling like time is moving along, we have booked our first counselling session for just before xmas and luckily we can do it via phone which saves us a drive to chch.

Hope the rest of you have a great day :)

Hi ladies,

Just wanted to quickly pop in and say best of luck to all of you coming up to transfers egg collections etc I'm still lurking and hope to see some great news soon!!!

I'm pleased I had decided to wait till the new year for our transfer as I have SO much going on at the moment that I just wouldn't be able to handle it all (and I can usually handle quite a bit, but not this month! ) . I haven't heard from FA about when I want to do my transfer, and I haven't even had the time to call them, but I don't think that's a big deal.

Sweetpea, my cycles varied after manufactured transfers, I'd had a couple where AF came early and some where AF came late - pretty sure our bodies have a mind of their own lol

A.girl fingers crossed for your OV soon - I hope clomid does the trick for you!

Epic, if you're still lurking, I've been thinking of you - hope everything with your pregnancy is still going smoothly!

Big hi, hi to everyone else!!!

Hi i'm hoping I can join in the discussion.

I'm trying for number two and have been trying for over 18 months now. I've had blood tests at the Doctors and it has shown I am not ovulating :( My progesterone level was extremely low and now I am waiting to be referred for fertility help. Anyone got any advice or tips on how to naturally increase progesterone while I wait to be referred? How long after being referred was everyone seen?

Thanks for your help :)

Welcome along Mama

Sorry to hear that you are you are experiencing difficulty conceiving number 2.  You can ask your GP to refer you to a fertility specialist and pay for it privately, they will most likely prescribe you clomid to get you started.   Polycystic ovary syndrome is a common cause for not ovulating.  Have a wee read up on Google as there is lots of helpful information about. Clomid is a fertility drug that helps women ovulate. Hopefully it will work for you and be an easy fix.   P.S. Progesterone is increased by ovulating, not by using a stimulant... the test is to actually see if you have ovulated and this is best done by a blood test 7 days after suspected ovulation (they often call is a p21 because of the assumption that most women have a 28 day cycle and ovulate on day 14 of their cycle).  This is not the case at all. Please start writing down the specifics of your cycle so you can take your history to the specialist. This is very helpful for them. You can get apps on your phone to do this, iphones all ready have something in place in the heart section. Many women choose to use countdowntopregnancy.com to monitor their cycles.
Hope that helps and gets you started.
Cheers
HT

Sweetpea, my cycles have been all over the place since doing the treatments. They were nice ol' 30 day ones before all this junk and now I've OV as late as day 40!!! I'm on day 18 with no imminent signs of OV, so I'm guessing even with the clomid, it's still stuffed up!

Kiwigirl, you need to click on the member control panel at the top of the page. then from there you just click on the profile tab. It's called your "signature". Good luck!

E2 was only at 730 today (up from 600 on Monday). Though it's an ok rise, my LH was still low, showing that OV is still a few days off. Sigh. Day 18 today... I thought clomid would shorten my cycle.

Faith, I'm not too sure about the sex thing. I have heard that it can draw blood to the uterus which is good for implantation. And I've also heard that the other spermies may help in the whole process. Who knows! I don't think a doc would suggest it if there wasn't good research to back it though. They are really cautious about that kind of thing. I'm glad all went well today!

Storm, maybe a break is a good thing for this month :)

Thanks :)

I have an app on my phone already that monitors my cycles, I use Ovia Fertility which i've been using for over a year.

I was tested throughout my cycle during different weeks because my cycles last anywhere from 32 days to 45 days, and there was no indication of ovulation. I have to go back and see her this week and she'll put the referral through for me, hopefully it doesn't take too long.

Mama, sounds like it could be PCOS as HT said. Im also trying for #2 and through my journey found out I had PCOS and didn't know I had it before I started. I also have a long cycle, 36-42 days. I don't remember my referral app taking too long but we did have a list of test to do when we got there. Him and me, so keep that in mind. Where abouts in the country are you?

Hey a.girl
Clomid ovulation can depend on when you take it. If you are going day2-5 then it is possible to ovulate cd13, if you are taking it later like cd6-9 then ovulation can be later. When did you take yours and at what dose?

Ht, I took 50mg from days 2-6. My E2 was at 50 when we started, and I had just come off of the loooong manufactured cycle from the FET. I wonder a bit if the 6 weeks of down regulation has effected it???

Well f**k. We had tickets for the 7 Days Live show this week and we totally forgot. Only realised this morning when it was mentioned on the radio. Feeling like a real numpty for forgetting. Also feeling a bit pissed because I apologised to husband for forgetting but he didn't feel the need to apologise to me for forgetting. It's like it's my sole responsibility to look after our social calendar. Ergh, I think I'm blowing this whole thing out of proportion but I'm having a sh*t week and really wanted to go to the show.

Mama, welcome! Do you know where your doctor is referring you? If it's to a hospital you could be waiting a while for an appointment which might not be overly helpful (as they'll then refer you to a fertility specialist). Although you can get some expensive tests done for free through the hospital so it's a good option. However if you can afford it and want to really get moving, going private for a first appointment with a fertility specialist will speed things along.
