I'm about five minutes pregnant! I just had to look it up - 3w+6 if I go by LMP or 4w+2 by ovulation date (I often ovulate early). I don't think I'll do hcgs - I find them more stressful than reassuring. I can always feel when things go pear shaped and in the past have used hcgs to confirm that they have in fact gone pear shaped. I have loads of cramping at the moment, but did with my only successful pregnancy too. I was so convinced that I wasn't pregnant I didn't even notice AF was due yesterday! I only tested this morning as I was going for acupuncture and wanted to be sure I wasn't utd. Had a super dark line that came up in seconds, which was the same as my son, so I'm hanging on to that at the moment and trying to stay chilled.

A dark line this early on is such a positive sign! Hcgs did my Head in too but I still did them right up until 7 weeks every 2 days as even though it was stressful for the moment they tell you it's risen like it should everything feels right with the world!
How long have you been trying for this Baby? IT took us 2.5 years! My 4 year Baby journey has been a nightmare!

That's so good... I know what you mean, I had a solid line come up straight away.. Hate those sh*tty chemical pregnancies. I hear ya about HCGs.. Im tossing up with going back to my GP (who takes maternity paitents on/works in obstetrics at the hospital part time) or, going to private obstetrician who is very very good but $4k.. Love my GP and have the best relationship with her, but the thought of having so many ultrasounds with the private obstetrician makes me keen for going private.... Decisions decesions...

That's what I love about my obgyn I can have as many scans as I want - maybe you could ask your doctor whether you could get more scans more often she might let you!

She probably would, i have an awesome relationship with her.. Wouldn't ever be a ultrasound per visit like the obstetrician though. I'm such a sucker for those ultrasounds!

Congrats on the recent BFP ladies so nice to have more of us here..
Though Im only paranoid not pregnant now... definitely want another though.. a d I think DH might agree to using the remaining frosty FX he or she takes and sticks when time comes.

You get lots of bits and pieces come out for a while honey - does it smell OK? If you are worried talk to Midwife it's not like it can do any harm!
I'm sorry about the breast feeding - it can be hard Work but please don't put pressure on yourself if it's not working for you or Baby there is nothing wrong with giving a bottle - she's had a good start xxx

It was more googling thst freaked me out said it should be pink by now. No smell so I will wait till Monday when my MW working.
My pyschologist said these days breast or bottle is almost the same.. just a lifestyle thing. Breast is so much easier in a sense cos steriling is such a pain.
Whats wveryone up too this weekend?

Kellsz - I bled for 6 weeks post partum - it can take a while!
Also, just regarding weight gain - if you baby looks healthy and not all ribs then please, please don't worry. Babies birth weight is dependant on YOU - how much sugar is available etc when they are inside. Once they are outside it mostly depends on THEM - their genetics will determine the correct size for them to be. We had a lot of issues with m/w regarding my sons slow weight gain, but he was born on the chubby side because of my glucose issues, and slimmed down to his genetic build. He was perfectly healthy and happy, and when the pediatrician saw him he wasn't at all worried by the weight gain guidelines. If your baby looks healthy, then he is!

Kellz - I had retained product after a m/c and it turned into a very messy situation that went on for many months and impacted on my fertility. If only I had spoken to my doctor at your stage when j felt something wasn't quite right... I'm encouraging you to speak to your MW and get an ultrasound xx

Yeah I realise that Anthea :) retained product can be from m/c or birth (placenta)... And I didn't get a smell either... So worth being careful.

SO glad Midwife wasn't worried honey xxx
Has Midwife said anything about formula? Or are you making enough milk? Apparently it's easier for Baby to drink from a bottle as breast feeding is a lot more Work - that's what I was told in Hospital as they would just tube feed her so she could keep sleeping to get better! Totally screwed on milk supply up though! When will they weigh her again? Is there another plan in place if she looses again?
I've got specialist tomorrow I'm going to attempt to tie them down to a definite date for induction I'm picking 12 September which is 36+3 weeks! I also have growth scan - I always worry she won't have grown enough!

Thanks for asking Indigo. Looks like I should have been more paranoid! 99% sure I've lost it, but no bleeding yet so doing hcgs to confirm. Hope all is good with you though?
