It's hard to explain: I get this cramping type pain, that's not really cramping as cramping is normal for me in early pregnancy. This is like a burning feeling and it doesn't come and go, it stays for hours (about 10 hours this time, although as soon as it starts I know I'm screwed). And then after that I really have no pregnancy symptoms again. This probably sounds weird, but I can usually feel the energy of a pregnancy from pretty early on (to me it's kind of a buzzing/humming) and that is gone too after the burning. This pregnancy had a very weak energy right from the start, although my positive test line was really dark and came up within seconds, which is kind of interesting. I'd love the hcgs to prove me wrong, but it's been exactly the same the previous four pregnancies and I've never been wrong yet. I do hcgs if I haven't bled, not because I'm unsure, but because in the past seeing scientific evidence helps my body to let it go and start to bleed. I've got my second hcg tomorrow and I guess I'll get results Thursday? I will post here to confirm. Sorry to be a downer and don't all suddenly think you've got a burning feeling now

sh*t!! Karenka that's just sh*t. Was hoping that your lovely strong line was a good indication :( I hope you're wrong and you're just paranoid. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I'm doing ok, 5w +3 and feeling good, no bleeding at all so far, and feeling tired and a tiny bit nauseous so hoping it is all ticking along.... I'll be thinking of you lots X

Will they do that anthea? I'm being ultra picky (and I'll just be damn happy any time) but at 38 weeks I'll be c sectioned the day before our best friends wedding.. I'm hoping they'll do it the week before and then I'll be able to go to wedding 😁 I'd be 36+6 if we did it the week before but wondered if that might be too early? My OB always does surgery on Fridays...

Yip they will do it especially as she knows how anxious I am - they induced my daughter at exactly 36 weeks!
I learnt yesterday that they won't do a c section before 38 weeks unless it's for medical reasons! But I say anything is worth a urn honey!

Oh dear I have put on 8kg and am only 21 weeks along. I put it down to suffering antenatal depression, emotionally eating and way less exercise. Any tips apart from eating veges and cutting the carbs down and moving more. For my BMI I am only supposed to put on 11kg all up.

Ha ha thanks ladies. Still can't believe it. Got the nurse to double check she was reading the right chart and that the dates corresponded with the dates I had the blood tests - she must have thought I was insane! Still super early for me, but at this stage I'm so happy to be both pregnant and paranoid!

Hi ladies I'm new to this thread - came out of "TTC" one some time ago as I got pregnant with our first child. I'm at 21 weeks now and everything is going fine. But recently I started to feel unusual heartbeat which kinda annoys me. Midwife reckons it looks like heart palpitations and says there is nothing to worry about. Have any of you experienced that an did you do anything about it?

Hi Helen, I had this with my last pregnancy, I didn't do anything for it specifically I did drink even less coffee and tied to stay hydrated. They must have stopped at some point, and everything turned out fine :-) Go with your gut feeling though, might be worth a trip to the Dr to make sure :-)

Thanks for replying Muma21 I was thinking to go to GP but wanted to ask midwife first. She said that's all fine but I'll see how it goes in the next couple of days and still might go and ask GP for a 2nd opinion

antheawren my blood pressure is fine as well. Was it your GP who told you that? And for how long have you had that issue?

Yip my gp and I keep meaning to ask my obgyn but keep forgetting! I had it every now and again before I was pregnant but now I get it all the time at least for 10 minutes a day! I can feel it coming on!

I have it pretty much all day with some breaks. And that makes me worried. But as I understand there is no harm for baby
