Hi, everybody. I decided to write here because I need your help. I’m 37 years old, and I suffer from early menopause. Actually, I started to have problems with my periods 5 years ago. Everything started with short delays, and 10 months ago was the last time I had my periods. I’ve passed all possible tests, and my gyny diagnosed me with early menopause.
Two years ago, I married a very good man. We love each other greatly, and we want to have a child. As I’m not able to ovulate any more, the doctor advises us to try egg donation. However, this procedure is very expensive in the place where we live.
We decided to go to Ukraine and try our luck there. We contacted one Ukrainian clinic. The name of this clinic is Biotexcom.
My husband and I decided to choose this clinic, because we’ve found loads of favorable feedbacks about this clinic.
However, the things were quite different when came to Kiev to meet the clinic’s representatives….
Firstly, we didn’t like the way we were received. When we came to Ukraine, we were met by the translator and driver at the airport. The clinic supplied us with the apartment and meals, and it was really nice.
Nevertheless, when we came to the clinic, we were unpleasantly surprised by the way we were treated there.
Firstly, the clinic was located in a private villa overcrowded with visitors. There wasn’t even a vacant place to stand. The clinic’s administrator turned to be a very unfriendly lady. We heard how she had a loud arguing with one couple, and it was a little bit shocking….
The clinic was really overcrowded with visitors, and each couple required nearly half an hour to consult a doctor. We had to wait nearly two hours before the doctor was ready to meet us.
Overall, we liked this fertility specialist, but during our talk her phone rang several times, and she answered to both calls.
We visited another clinic in Kiev. Its name was Nadia. The things were quite different there. We were met by a courteous administrator, and the doctor was extremely soothing… However, the clinic was empty.
Now we have to decide which clinic to choose… Frankly speaking, I liked the second one, but it was sooo empty. Bitexcom representatives can’t organize their work properly, but they do have patients…

Hi, I think you should take into consideration the clinic’s success rates. It’s the most important criterion, I guess. If they have so many patients, it may mean that they are really popular one. Sometimes it happens that the clinic does have many patients. Did you speak with the clinic’s representatives about this? Maybe, you can ask them to organize your further visits better?
P.S. If I were you, I would register on various fertility forums and try find the ladies who has already contacted this clinic there. They may give you more information about this clinic…

Hi, everybody! Thanks for your messages! They are a real support to me! Yesterday, I’ve received an email from the clinic’s representatives. They asked us whether we are ready to sign up a contract with them. When we wrote them that we didn’t like the way we were received there, the clinic’s representatives apologized and offered us to come to Ukraine one more time for further negotiations.
Overall, the clinic seems rather ok. We’ve found quite a lot of favorable feedbacks about their specialists in the internet.
Now we have to decide whether to contact them or not one more time…

I guess you should trust your gut in this question. If the clinic is ok, then you should give them a chance… However, it will be nice if you clarify all things before visiting them for the second time. Maybe, they will give you the exact time when to come to the clinic and see a specialist or something like this… As far as I know, you need to pass a complex medical checkup before doing anything. You may come with the analysis tests and save time on visiting specialists and passing through the tests. I would also recommend you to be attentive with signing up a contract with the clinic.

Hi, ladies. My close friend used to go to Ukraine a year ago to find a surrogate. She also contacted the clinic in Kiev. Overall, my friend got a positive experience. Her son was born healthy. She told me that the clinic staff turned to be very supportive. They provided her with an interpreter and a comfortable accommodation every time they came to Ukraine. She even thinks of coming to Ukraine to find a surrogate for her second child.

Hi, sweetcherry! I have some questions to you about the clinic you’ve written in your post. I know very little about ED and just curious to get some information about this procedure…The clinic is situated in Ukraine, and it’s pretty far from New Zealand. Why don’t you try your luck here? Why do you have to travel so far to get a donor egg? Are sure that the Ukrainian doctors will provide you with a good egg?

Hi, mbn! We’ve decided to try our luck in Ukraine because ED is cheaper there. The clinic we’ve visited was recommended by our close friend. He lives in Kiev at present. We asked him to visit Biotexcom and find out some details about it for us. He told us about the queues there, but he didn’t warn us that they would be so long. We liked the fertility specialist, but the way they organize there is really awful! However, Biotexcom seems to have high success ratings, so we are hesitating whether to quit them or not…

If this clinic has rather good success ratings, it’s worth dealing with them. However, you need to stay somewhere. There is also a great necessaty to know the language. You won’t be able to go anywhere without an interpreter. Why don’t you want to go to an English-speaking country? Something like the UK or the USA… n addition, I know that those clinics like to charge additional fees. I recommend you to be cautious with this…

I know that Ukraine is situated pretty far from Australia and it will take time to travel there. However, fertility clinics in this country are rather popular among infertile couples all over the world. When we visited this clinic for the first time, we were met by an interpreter in the airport. A driver gave us a lift to the apartment where we lived. Every time we came to the clinic we were followed by the interpreter. We were also supplied with meals. These are the things I really liked in this clinic. However, I didn’t like the way they organize the clinic’s work. Staying in a large queue isn’t pleasant. It takes time and energy…

I would also like to know whether fresh or frozen eggs will be used in your program. And how are they going to choose a donor for you? Will it be a Ukrainian woman? Will you get a short description or a photo of the donor?
P.S. As far as I understand, you need to find a woman who will resemble you in some way. I mean she must have eyes, hair and skin of the same color. Will you be able to find such donor in Ukraine?

The clinic uses only fresh eggs. They study both the cycle of the donor and recipient and give birth control pills to synchronize the cycles. Our doctor told us that they’ll choose the best time for us to visit the clinic to pick up my hubbies sperm and fertilize the donor eggs. Then the embryos will be transferred into my womb. So this is how the main procedure is done. As for the donor egg, if you sign up a contract with them, they’ll provide you with a 3D photo of the women who are willing to donate their eggs. I don’t think it would be difficult for us to find a donor in Ukraine because I have light skin, dark eyes, and black hair. There are quite a lot of women with the same features around the world. I also know that Ukrainian ladies are considered to be one of the most beautiful women around the world so if it is a girl, she’ll very beautiful one.

Sounds nice, sweet cherry! It’s really great that they are able to help you! I would also like to ask you about the money you’re going to pay for your program. Will you pay in cash or use a bank transfer?
P.S. I’ve got a close friend who lives in Spain. They consulted the reproductive clinic there to give get a donor egg. They liked nearly everything about the clinic but they charged too much of them. They paid a certain amount of money for the procedure and then they charged them additional fees for some medicines. All in all, they had to take all money from their bank accounts to pay the bills….

Hi, Kathrine! I’m really sorry for your friend. The clinic we’ve got interested in doesn’t charge additional fees from its patients. We’ll have to pay a fixed sum that includes all necessary payments. At least, such information is written in the clinic’s contract we’re going to sign up. The payments can be done either via bank transfer or in cash. The only thing that I don’t like is that you can’t terminate the contract without a money loss. I don’t think it’s fair. The clinic also charges fines if you don’t pass all medical tests in time or don’t come in time for embryo transfer.

Hi, Fancy! Nice to meet you! As far as I know, Biotexcom does IVFs with fresh donor eggs. You just give them a short description of the woman whom you think may become an ideal donor for you. The clinic has a large donors’ database. They use a special program to find appropriate donors for you. You may see 3D photos of the women and then chose the one you like most. When the donor is chosen, the doctors study your cycle and prescribe you with birth control pills. You take them to synchronize your cycle with the donor’s ones. Then you’re asked to come on the exact day for enbryos transfer.

Hi, everybody! Just joined your discussion. Sweetcherry, your messages are really informative ones. I don’t know whether we’ll go to Ukraine or not, but the fact that they use fresh eggs is quite favorable. We’ve also found quite a lot of feedbacks about Biotexcom on various fertility forums. As far as I remember, they’re rather popular among European couples. Loads of ladies wrote that they had rather high success ratings.

Hi, sweetcherry! Nice to meet you too. I have a very tough PCOS. I tried several IVFs, but they didn’t give any results. As I have relatives in Ukraine, they advised us to consult fertility specialists there. The doctor who works in that clinic advised us to try a donor egg. We haven’t decided what to do further, but I think we’ll try egg donation. I tried nearly all medications and procedures to battle my PCOS, but nothing worked with me…
