This isn't as bad as it sounds - Work and Income and Nelson DHB put together a budget cooking cookbook with loads of food basics and nutrition ideas. It's available here... WINZ Cookbook

We've got some similar ones we got with our Chrisco a few years back, put together by one of the DHB's, can't remember which one. It's great for good, simple, healthy meals without having to buy special ingredients etc.
