Just a quick question about this...

For those of you that get it do both you and your DH/DP get it?? IYGWIM

I qualify for about $50/week as DH works full time and I am a SAHM.

So do we both get $50 each a week therefore $100 for just the $50??

WINZ have paid us as though we both get it and I want to make sure before I spend it! as it will be a PITA to pay it back...

Thanks, thought it may be easier asking here than getting a straight answer from WINZ on the phone!!

Usually you get it each, so he will get $50 and you will get $50. Yay, go shopping!

Makes a huge difference.

We qualify too and we both get it but both had to fill forms out for it... You could always ring and double check but they won't take $50 back straight away if they have over paid you. They over paid us and just took a certain amount each week until fully paid... We got overpaid almost $400 somehow and they rung me right away and said keep it we'll just take x amount each week until it's paid.

They work out your entitlement using household income, then the amount gets split between you, so if you're entitled to $50 p/week based on his income, then you'll get $25 each. The first week is usually more than your normal weekly entilement as they will backdate to when you rang and made the appt. The backdated amount is also split
