Is anyone having the same trouble as me?   Since giving birth my body seems unusually achey. It might have something to do with me being an older mother - 42 - and I guess picking up and putting down extra kilos all day would explain it but I thought it would subside in time. My boy is 4 months now and I still feel creaky. It only seems to have happened since I gave birth. I've just started Elevit again in case I'm missing nutrients but would be interested to hear if anyone else has experienced the same thing.

Our poor bodies have to shift into shtrange shapes to hold accomodate the baby when we re pregnant, its no wonder everything feels out of alingment. I had sore lower back/ achy hips for ages,...have just started having accupuncture which is helping. You could see an osteopath, we found it good for Isla, her skull bones and spine were a bit squashed from being born!

I am much weaker now than before being pregnant and my back constantly aches! I am back playing soccer and I have noticed I am so much weaker in my ability to play and I have lost my "keep going and going and going" ability. Could be the fact that I had to have an emergency c section though, my stomach muscles are pretty non exsistent and they used to be super strong!

My pelvis and hips still ache from time to time too

I didn't know to expect this so I ended up pulling something in my back when Hannah was 3mos (interior decorating). Apparently it can take about 12mos to unsoften from birth.

Me too, emz

oneplusone, it'll clear up soon. It's scary how much our bodies have to bend and stretch to accommodate pregnancy, huh? If babies were grown in the garden (say, for example) and science discovered a "new" way that human beings could make and carry babies (the way we already do) people would say "that's just barbaric!!"

Thanks Ladies, nice to know it's not just my age (groan - theres a reason why people do this in their twenties) Great idea about growing them in the garden Charly, LOL.   Interested with your comment Bombshell. Apart from general body aches I am also suffering with my feet. I've had problems with them before with a short walk feeling like a ten mile trek but again they seem even worse now. As soon as my feet hit the floor in the morning they are sore and I shuffle in to feed J like an old lady. Boy, the things we have to put up with.....   I think I might look at acupuncture too. It sounds like a good idea.

Oh my feet - they ache too!!! My back and knees aren't the best, but its the aching feet and ankles, especially first thing and by the end of the day, that drive me mad. I thought I would have come right by the time Jake was 6 months .... but 9 months on and I'm no better - possibly worse as I'm still carrying around 7kgs of extra weight plus 8.5kgs or so of baby!!

DH and mum said recently I should go to the doc - as I can barely walk in the morning and look like a very old lady!!! Good to hear its not just me.

I am really suffering from back pain....it is coming up 2 years soon since I had T.
I put on 22kgs and have only lost half of that, so a good 10kgs to go, wonder if weight has an impact on it?

No advise sorry, but there seems to be a few of us in the same field
