Topic: AF like cramps from Ov onwards? Posted: 09 November 2010 at 4:23pm |
Hey, will probly ask the dr about this when I go, but just wondering if anyone else experiences this, or know what it means?
I seem to get ovulation pain, then straight after that finishes, I get mild AF cramps for the entire luteal phase I don't temp so I don't know exactly when I ovulate but my last 5 cycles have been 26-29 days. I am currently CD 20 and I would say the cramps started about CD 18. This is the fourth time, and I have just as small a chance of being pg as I did the other 3 times so quite sure it's not that.
Not too worried coz cycles are normal apart from that, and though we were planning on TTC soon, there's no rush really.
All up to date with smears and last one was normal.
So yea just wondering what it could be from, maybe just really sensitive to progesterone?

Sorry I can't really help but just wanted to say that I have the same thing - I get cramps from 4DPO right up to AF. My cycles are around 26-30 days so it happens around CD18 onwards like you. I have told my specialist several times and he doesn't seem concerned. I have had lap surgery to remove endo so that rules that out! Isn't it horrible!?!

I also have noticed light cramping after OV. I don't know if I used to get them before TTC, I never noticed them! It is a bit annoying as when I first noticed them I got a bit excited as thought it might be a UTD sign... obviously it wasn't for me!

Rach, Im the same as well. In fact, today (CD18) I could have sworn that AF was arriving, way too early of course. Albeit, today just seemed like a bad cramping day in general I dunno if its normal, but its certainly common I will get cramps right up till AF now as well.

Ditto here!
From about ovulation onwards I'll get odd cramps, not every day but every 2-3 days.
Sometimes it definitely feels like AF is going to be a week early!!

I used to get them too - I thought it was because of the endo. After my lap they disappeared (yay!). Then the month I got pregnant they were there again, so I remember wondering that week or so if the endo was back or if it was a pregnancy thing.

Yip I get them too, though am unsure if they last right till AF (as only on 3rd cycle since DD) but definatly get them for about 4-5 days during ovulation!

I got them again this cycle from 4DPO but ended up UTD so I definitely wouldn't worry about it.
