jake is siting next to me and we are watching piha rescue. it is really sad. a guy died. jake asked "mama, what happened?"
i said "well, the man went swimming and the sea was too strong. thats why we always swim with mummy or daddy. the sea can be dangerous."
"yes" says jake knowingly "a crab will bite my finger"
so sweet. he has no comprehension that anything worse than that can happen. i love it.

Oh my goodness, I completely cried my eyes out watching Piha Rescue tonight. It was so incredibly sad.

That's so cute of Jake to say that though would've been a nice bit of comic relief!
