This is probally a stupid question but im worried. I can feel my baby kick and roll around only when I lie on my tummy. Am I squashing him or here? Is it his or her way of telling me their uncomfortable? Or am I just paranoid lol.

i dont think you will be hurting him/her. im nearly 38weeks and can still lie on my tummy, MW was worried at first so got me a growth scan, but baby is right on track so seems im one of the lucky/strange ones that still wakes up on my tummy. baby has a lot of cushioning from the amniotic fluid so should be fine. but if your still worried, just have a chat with your MW |

I usually end up moving because all the kicking starts annoying me. But don't worry, they are pretty cushioned in there... I got a soccer ball kicked really hard into my tummy during my last pregnancy and I was convinced it would have killed the baby... but she was absolutely fine.

Hi, I like to lie on my tummy too sometimes. I asked my MW about it and she said it's fine.
There is at least 3 or 4 litres of fluid in the womb so the baby is well protected and it is hard to squish it, there is lots of room for it to move.
She basically said to go by how comfortable it is for you, if you find it difficult or painful then switch to lying on your side, but if you're still finding it ok then it is fine to keep lying on your tummy, you won't be damaging the baby |

So how do you guys lie on your tummy with a belly in the way, lol? Do you put a pillow under your boobs and then one at the top of your thighs or something to prop it up?

im a tummy sleeper cant sleep any other way and i too asked my MW if it was ok and she said its fine as long as i am comfortable. I just lay almost on my tummy but a wee bit on my side and swap sides every few hours and bubs doesnt seem to have probs with it |

I cant see how you could sleep on your belly with that big bump.
I only lied on my side it was the most comfortable.

i still lie on my tummy in bed. my bump is pretty compact though and i have a baby on the slightly smaller side of healthy. i can still lie on a hard surface ok but if he moves to an uncomfortable position i find it hurts me more than anything and i have to move. id say as long as it doesnt hurt youll be fine, especially since he is in so much fluid
