Topic: An Update for Those Praying for Harry Posted: 22 May 2006 at 11:37am |
First I would like to say thank you for all whose thoughts and prayers and wishes have been with this family despite not knowing them personally.
Even though I don't know them personally, I can't stop crying as I type this.
Little Harry's breathing tube was removed at midday on Saturday. His parents, Pete and Maryanne, both sets of grandparents and family pastor were with him as he passed away at 2.15pm.
Despite my own firm faith in God I still find it inspirational how the family has placed this firmly in God's hands and are keeping thier eye fixed on Him through this time.
The family was aware that I posted this and is aware of how far spread the prayer is. Despite it not being the outcome WE desire, they are thankful to everyone and have the prayers have helped them during this time.
I'm sure our thoughts and prayers will still be with them as they begin a slow journey of healing.
Thanks again everyone.

That is very sad to hear. At least Harry is in a good place now with God to take care of him. God bless his family and everyone else who knew him.

That's so sad! Thanks for the update, Paws. I'm glad that we all at least got to pray for Harry and his family and can carry on praying for them in their grief. I'm sure it's making a difference for them, even if our plans weren't the same as God's in the end.

Oh no. Thats so sad. I don't get sentimental but have tears in my eyes. Please let harry's parents know we are thinking of them...even if we don't know them ourselves.
Now Paws, how are YOU doing? Okay chicka?

Hey lizzle, I'm fine, as I say I didn't know them personally, we'd met them once through friends of ours. We also knew of them pretty well though because they are all part of a NZ Christian based children's band that did a lot of touring a several years back and had also played at our old church.
All the same it's heart-breaking to hear of anyone going through this.

sometimes no words will ever be adequate enough....this is one of those times.
I cant imagine what wee harry's family is going through, and call me selfish but i dont want to imagine...because the only way to truly imagine it is to go through it yourself, and i just dont think i could.
Oh all those dreams, all those things we take for granted everyday, like hearing him laugh, seeing him run even listening to him whine, and theyll never experience it with him .....dunno bout u but it makes me want to hold caitlyn extra close and thankgod that ive had the chance to see these things
I believe hes sitting on Jesus's lap now, being held extra close by the best father of them all, may he play without any pain with the other angels that were taken from earth too soon.
Doesnt make it any easier for the parents and family tho my prayers are with them and i pray that it was a peaceful passing.......
May he rest in peace

I said the same thing when I got the email, I just wanted to hold my family closer and appreciate every single moment I have with them.
I probably should have mentioned that his passing was peaceful. Praise God for that and that his family do have the hope and knowledge that they will get to hold him again.
