For those of you that have been through it, did they just stop cold turkey (probably with a sleep every few days to catch up) or did their sleep seem to get shorter and shorter until they stopped sleeping altogether?

I'll be interested to see what reply's you get. Brenna only has her sleep about 3 - 4 times a week (if we're lucky) but we still put her to bed everyday...

charli often misses her afternoon sleep, but i still put her to bed everyday anyway. i don't think it will be long before she cuts the sleep out, which i'm sooooo not ready for!!

jack stopped sleeping rather than shorten his naps. i'd put him to bed anyway and he would happily play in there for the same length of time, which was fine by me

then it got to the point where he wasn't playing for long before he'd bang on the door for something, so i quit trying. for a few months he'd have a sleep maybe once a week, then that gradually faded out too.
