Topic: Another creepy story Posted: 06 December 2008 at 9:53am |
This morning Alyssa and I were in the lounge and she started saying "Grandfather"...which in itself if strange because on both DH and I both have parents that divorced, and even though our mums have new partners, neither have been referred to as her Grandfather.. So basically we don't use that word ever.
Anywhoo...I asked "where?" and she took me down to her bedroom and said over there, pointing next to her bed. She has been going on about it and indicating where Grandfather is and even started taking toys to share with him at that spot... At one point I asked later where he was and she said "gone now"..
I'm creeped out a bit, although the house doesn't feel creepy.. but I rang my mum to tell her and she's creeped out too.. I have never had anything to do with my father so have no idea if anything could have happened to him, or if she is referring to someone else? I'd be totally shocked if I found out he died or anything cause then it would be reeeeeeealllllly super creepy!
Ooohhhhhhh

Wow Yumi that is freaky, does she give you any more information that just calling his name?
Is there anyway you can find out if anything has happened? Someone is trying to get a message to you - maybe??

Yeah I tried getting more information from her and asked her what Grandfather looks like, and when she saw him but she doesn't give me any answer..just repeats "Grandfather" and says "over there, down there" on the area next to her bed. She also told me to say "Hi Grandfather" at one point as well.
She has stopped talking about it now that she has found something better to do, but I guess I'll see if she brings it up again.
I don't have any contact with him, or anything like that as he was gone when I was about 2. I don't have contact with any other rellies from that side since my Granny died a few years ago either.

I think that's lovely. She's obviously really comfortable with the spirit so it's can't be anyone to be concerned about (I'd just think twice about running around the house naked if I were you ).
It would be really interesting to find out if your or DH's dad have passed or it maybe one of your grandads.

I think it's awesome - and like blondie said, she's obviously quite comfortable with him and it doesn't freak her out at all. maybe you should take her to a psychic sort person and see if they can tell you who it is??

It is a bit creepy, as long as she isn't scared by it then I wouldn't be too worried.
When we were living in Toronto we were walking down the street in front of a funeral home and their car park. A little girl was standing facing the car park and waving at it and saying hello.
I asked my DH if he just saw the same thing I did and he had a weird look on his face as well. The car park was completely empty, no cars or anything in it. So, who was the little girl waving at and saying hello to?!?!

That's pretty amazing!
My midwife's office is right next door to the local funeral home which I think is rather ironic, one brings new life into the world while the other gives those that have passed a send off.
