Topic: Another cute toddler moment Posted: 21 February 2008 at 8:29am |
My DH just rang to tell me this story.
He was in Michaela's bedroom tidying up and she was in there playing with one of her teddy bears. She put it in the toy highchair and gave it a pretend meal then cuddled it and 'talked' to it then sang for a few seconds while she put it in the toy cot and pulled the covers up then she tiptoed out of the room and closed the door behind her.
She was doing our bedtime routine.

Hmmm, I'm not sure. Maybe she had to leave the room to let him CIO. LOL.
The main difference to our bedtime routine is generally the second I leave the room she gets up and starts playing.

Cute!
Not long after I first had Kate I came out into the conservatory and Charlotte had her doll stuffed up her top while she talked to 'woody'. I asked her what she was doing and turns out Woody was the Dr and she was feeding her baby- I had been into the Dr earlier that week and when he was trying to diagnose Kates reflux he got me to feed her for a bit to see how she reacted. Its amazing what they pick up!

Awwww cute! My Sienna is a real "mummy" too, she's forever lugging her dolls around and giving them bottles and patting their backs and saying "aaahhh" which is what we do when we cuddle them. And Mercedes gets an empty bowl and spoon and "feeds" her Peter Rabbit.
Lucky they do cute things sometimes coz for the most part they are feral!

He he he. Michaela is pretty feral sometimes too.
Just got a text from DH to say he'd just finished tidying her room and started tidying the lounge. Then 15 mins later he went back into her room and it was worse than before!!!

She sounds just like the gremlins! I am amazed how much they can reach from their cots!

I was saying to DH last night that I can't wait for Hannah to be old enough to do stuff like that.
But 5 mins later went on to say "stop growing up!!" as she's grown so much in the last 3 weeks!

aww how sweet. Addison is really into babies now, im forever finding them tucked up in our bed or kobes bed, you never know who you will find when you go to jump into bed and she has a thing about them having 'tinky bum' and using heaps of wipes to clean their bums and then putting nappies on them then she wraps them up and carries them round like a rugby ball under the arm.
