I had shortness of breath but it has stopped now. I started showing really early so I think that meant that it popped out and I could breath again but def know where you are coming from!
Also have the breast issue and not much fun when they were big enough to start with!

Oh yeah, I know how you feel. I have been having the most painful breasts ever, I even thought my nipple was a funny shape this morning. Maybe TMI.
My tummy is bigger, but it just looks like fat because I am overweight. So when I wear my jeans it pushes my belly up and out. Gah.
I get morning sickness often. Not the best feeling in the world, but when you remember what it is all for it's all worth it.

I don't think I have a baby bump yet but I think some extra "padding" is being added to my waist and hips instead. All for a good cause though
I too get shortness of breath sometimes. It was a bit scary at first as I know I'm not as fit as I should/could be. But I'm thinking I'll give swimming a go soon but it is hard to get myself off the couch when I feel so sick most of the time...
I'm not sure when we'll start buying the bigger items but perhaps we might start around the 20 week mark?? My plan is to to make a list and buy the things gradually - or as gradually as possible anyway.
Who has told their work yet? I'm not sure when to do it...

I told my boss as soon as I found out. She was great about it. I work for a small company that prides itself on family. If she wasn't my boss, I probally wouldnt have told work so early.

I told my bosses as soon as we found out. They are great about it, I wanted to give them as much time as possible to come up with a game plan but haven't told the other staff yet, will wait a few more weeks there i think. Although they must suspect cause I'm eating like a horse at the most bizarre times and normally im on a fairly healthy diet. isn't is weird how one day you want a certain food and then the next day the smell of it makes you feel ill?? this process is so weird. no one told me pregnancy was so crappy

Allright December mums to be, we are really behind all the other months on their posts so lets get the ball rolling by telling each other about ourselves. Then we may be able to post more if we feel we know each other more!
I will start......
Hi my name is Kirstin. I am from Rotorua and am 25 years old. My partner(we are not married...yet)is 27 and works at a hospital. I study as an extramural student in my final year of a Marketing degree. We are expecting our first and will be finding out the sex. I am due on 27 Dec and hope it is not an early baby as I dont want to miss my exams in early November. I have been suffering morning sickness for more than a week and vomit at least once a day(TMI!). I have not had an appoint with my midwife yet but am looking forward to hearing the babys heart beat.
Well you all know a little about me and now it is your turn...........

Great idea Kirstin. Here's mine -
My name is Sally & hubby & I are both 30. We live in Auckland where I work as a planner & DH's in the navy. This baby will be our first & the due date is 18 December. I'm hoping it won't be exactly one week late for obvious reasons!! We will probably be finding out the sex if we can. DH really wants to & is currently trying to convince me we should. I too have had terrible MS which hangs around 24 hours a day! Oh what fun. We had an early scan at 6 wks where we saw the heart beating away. Was very reassuring I can tell you!
Who's next?

Hey, my name is Tara and I am 22, the fiance is 21. We are a very domesticated couple (for our age) and look forward to a safe and healthy pregnancy. I have morning sickness most days, but we are coping with it. For the past 5 and a half years I have been working in Administration and currently doing Credit Control and Purchasing. Not sure what I'd like to do for a career, but I do know I'd make a great mother. Haven't been to the doctors yet, I am about 8 weeks tomorrow. Have been looking for midwifes but not having much luck. Due approx. 28th December, yet to be confirmed. My fiance Tom is british and has been here on a working holiday visa, he has until June 2008. We did have plans to go back together, but these may be on hold and might have to try get him on a relationship visa (by then we will be married and baby will be 5-6 months old).
Tara

Cute bag!!! Its always so tempting to buy clothes etc but not knowing the sex makes the colour choice a little boring, so I am trying to wait! In saying that, I have bought/been given 4 onesies, matching blanket, baby ugg boots, scratch mits and bought myself some maternity singlets which will be good in summer. I cant wait to have a shopping spree! How is everyone feeling this week? I still have morning sickness but have been reading a week behind in my book(this week is week 9 but I was reading week 8 because I am 8wks preggas) so it says ms should start to settle.

Mine seems to have been getting better today. I wasn't sick, just got that feeling.
Yeah that bag is cute eh? It came in a blue design and a pink design. But I liked the beige (plus no idea what I am having).
Does anyone feel they know what they are having? I have this feeling I will have a lil boy (but I will probally have a girl hahaha).
My mother recons she knew she was gonna have girls both times. I think she mustive rocked herself to sleep every night going "I'm having a girl, I'm having a girl". Hahaha.

I think I am having a girl and strangly so does everyone else. I will be shocked at the scan if it has the extra bits but happy none the less. I will be happy with either a boy or a girl. At the moment it feels like an alien as it makes me sick 24/7!
Whats everyones favourite and least favourite thing about being pregnant? My favourite would be being able to use it to my advantage to get out of things such as picking up the dog poo and going to the stinky recycling center. Least fav is definitly morning sickness. Ooh and my new craving is lime primo flavoured milk.

Topsy! You and I are such alike! I am craving chocolate primo!
My fav thing right now about being preggers: If I say I am tired, fiance runs off to save the day and will fetch the remote for me. Also the fact that I don't have to do rubbish anymore.
The worst thing about being preggers: Morning sickness. Full stop!

Definitely the worst thing is feeling so crappy 24/7!!
I guess the best things are having an excuse for feeling so tired all the time and not having to do the housework etc, spending all day Saturday watching DVD's and not feel guilty and not having to feed the cat her jellimeat cos the smell makes me gag
So far I don't have a strong feeling either way that it's a girl or a boy in there. I do know there's only one which is a relief!

Love the bag! I am on the look out for a bag as just want an oversize funky handbag instead of an actual nappy bag.
There are no bad things about pregnancy for me...I have really had minimal, manageable symptoms..Best thing is just being pregnant and all the anticipation, 1 st scan, 1st movement etc.
Have no idea what I'm having but have't rule dout the possibility of twins yet as on both sides and started really showing so eatly. Find out Tuesday.
