Hey
I am in your area, but fortunatly I am 11 weeks pregnant after my 2nd cycle.
However, I am a member of an IVF support group and we meet in Hamilton or surrounding areas the first Monday of every month! Participate in social activities, have guest speakers, share stories, seek support etc. Would you be interested in the details??

Hi Anna,
I'm from Te Awamutu and just about to start IVF.
I have completed one round of OI a year but unfortnately this was not successful,
The doctor recommended we wait for 12 months for governemtn funding for IVF... 12 months has finally been and gone and we are hoping for a better outcome this time around.
I would be keen to chat to others going through IVF or similar.

I'm having my first FS appt at hamilton FA in a few weeks time, I didn't know there was a support group in Hamilton and would be keen to find out details Country Girl-we don't know if we will be doing ivf yet, will find out at this appt I guess, but with my and DH's test results it looks pretty likely that we will be going on the waiting list. I live in Tauranga though but would definitely travel if it was just once a month. I'm think there's no support groups/casual meet ups in Tauranga that I know of anyway?

Hi JaneW and others,
If you have a look on the fertilitynz website it should tell you is there is a support group in Tga!!
I have recently said my goodbyes to the group due to pregnancy, but found the group to be such a positive benefit to my husband and I.. We have made some great long standing friendships.
Jo Knowles is the group contact person, if you text her on 021 151 7059 she will tell you when the group meets next and where.
All the very best of luck, and if you want to chat or ask questions I would love to help - if I can!!
