I second that!! The little brunette girl cant remember her name looks like she hates every minute of it!! Poor girls classic case of mums fufilling their dreams through their children!!

OMIGOD I do I do!! That god damn woman that was going on about how disappointed she was that her daughter was ugly when she was born and how she could never imagine her being pretty that she was that ugly and she didn't want an ugly child!! WTF Its your child and you should see them as beautiful no matter what, there was nothing ugly about that kid until they dressed her up like a tranny!!! I liked the "
poor" girl, had kinda hoped she would win, her mother had a slack attitude about her getting through life not needing brains but wasn't as bad as the other two mothers and at least she wasn't completely covered in makeup!!

I watched a little bit but turned it off after a while. If my daughter wanted to enter something like that I wouldn't stop her but there is no way I'd ever push her into it or make her feel bad if she didn't win etc. When I was little, over summer they had little beauty pageant things up at the beach we used to spend time at, they were heaps of fun and no one took them seriously, if you won that was nice but if you didn't it wasn't a big deal either. Something like that I'd be ok with, but ones like on this show are just crazy and can't be good for the kids in the long run.

I just felt so sad for the little girls. Their parents had obviously not had a chat to them and explained they were beautiful no matter what. They based all of it on the outcome of the competition. Some of them looked devistated.

i thought the little blond girl and her mum had the right attitude...
BUT that freakin sth african chick who had mummy issues herself!! OMG!!!! and calling her kid ugly and how disappointed she was at birth...what a freak she is! get her to a psychologist!
I thought Madison was going to win but was so glad she didnt when her temper tantrum and sulking came out...and her older sisters tanty OH MY!
I have to say my bubs has done some modelling (as did I as a kid) and has scored herself a major coup in getting contracted to a major agency in NZ already but pageants - well she may do a fun beach one maybe over summer at the beach house township (an aunty is a Miss ## winner this year so encourages it - cant tell u which region!) but otherwise pageants are out...daddy was borderline for the contract she has so pageants are a def no go for him!!! and I agree...it is sooo fake and a scary mummy world!

i felt so sorry for the wee girl whose mother said she was ugly when she was born that is awful. ALL babies are beautiful.
The wee blond girls mum had the right idea. SHe was supporting her daughter in something she wanted to do. Good on her !! and did you notice her girl was the only one who did have a melt down when she didnt win.

Its like a car wreck, you know its going to be bad but you have to watch.
What I wanted to know is how that south african women was able to pay for everything if she didn't work and was divorced.
All that make up is just wrong. As for the 'poor' kid, not having brains is how you end up like her mother.

Oh that was sooooo sad to watch!! I only saw part of it, and caught the end. I didn't see the bit where a Mum thought her child was ugly - but how is that even possible??? I thought it was 'programmed' into us to think our children are the most gorgeous ever!
The little blond girl that did it for her confidence looked like a sweetheart, and good on her for going ahead even though her Mum didn't think she would
The others - the tantrums, the tears, the makeup! I'm glad the one who won wasn't made up like a barbie doll.
