Do you know what they provide postnatally in terms of pads, nappies etc. When I had Maya at NWH they provided pads and cloth nappies but you had to take your own wipes, breast pads etc.

But not sure what the story is these days, and I thought I might get around to packing a hospital bag sometime soonish...

i'll tell you everything i can remember on tues....pads, yes, nappies, yes... wont you be transfering to birth care???

At Auckland City they give you huggies nappies, maternity pads, johnsons top to toe bath gel, gowns for bubs... um, think thats about it. All you really need are breast pads. Not sure what you get at birthcare though as I stayed at ACH for 5 days after Joshie was born.

Nope, no Birthcare. Can only go there post 37-weeks which the midwife thinks I won't get to, plus I've heard a couple of bad stories about people who have gone there with twins and had no support from the m/ws there. Which is sad coz I LOVED it when I had Maya.
