Hi all,
I have finally decided to join this forum. I must admit I have been reading for a little while. Treen you may remember me from the clomid forum or the chit chat forum. I am so sorry to hear about your sad news kiwiwonder, michelle and lulu.
I am 12 weeks today, due 15th April. I had a scan at 7 weeks to make sure I only had 1 little baby, after fetility treatment and family history of twins on both sides the chance of multiple pregnancy was very high. We could see a little heat beating away so that was great to see so early. We deciced against getting the downs scan. I am so counting down to my next midwife appointment though. I can't remember if she said we would get to do another scan then (in 10 days) or within a few weeks from the next appointment. So much new information racing around in my head at the time of the appointment!!!.
Have a great weekend

Just wanted to say that I am still pregnant with a live fetus... which at times is hard for me to remember too Right now I'm operating on the hope / assumption that I will stay pregnant and that things aren't as bad as the radiologist indicated they were.
And to update, I'm booked in at the hospital for a CVS (sampling of placenta cells to pick up chromosomal abnormalities) on midday Monday... would appreciate any spare thoughts

Sending you good vibes and keeping fingers crossed for you KiwiWonder. Please keep us updated.
YAY Friday indeed. God that extra hour with daylight savings has made this week so long! Thought it was Friday yesterday and thought it was Saturday when I woke up this morning.

Good luck KiwiWonder!!!
Thinking of everyone going through their bad news at the moment xx
I had a massive power spew this morning, looks like the ms is getting worse! That's twice this week! Thought I was on the home stretch, definitely cannot jinx myself with saying that anymore.
Just accepted a proposal to sponsor the body art & bodywear section at Cup Day at Addington next month. Means I have to give the winner their prize in the Birdcage, eek what will I wear I'll be 16 weeks by then!

Nope, but I can probably get one of the stores to dress me....it's not like I will feel great next to the naked painted bodies though! Guess it will depend on how my bump looks by then.

Greentee – oh my goodness! Congratulations! I'm so stoked to see another girl from the infertility forums here! And you're due on a very good date – my birthday.
So much sad news, lately. My heart goes out to you girls. I'm almost too scared to have a scan. Hope there's not a waiting list as I haven't booked it in yet.
I've got a bottle of Moet in the wine stand I've been eyeing up and thinking – if I MC too, I'm going to drink the whole bloody bottle all to myself.

Thanks Treen,
Hard case that I am due on your birthday and am only 4 days ahead of you. I so know what you mean about being scared to go for a scan.
Hey is anybody else having a really stuffy nose and sore gums? apparently both things are normal but oh my goodness.

need to have a rant.... just went to have my second appointment with my MW and hopefully hear the heartbeat. Well, it was all locked up and turns out she is in rotorua.... thanks for letting me know.
I am now in the process of getting referred to a specialist - apparently they are free in Timaru. Also because of my age my Dr said I should be probably errr on the side of caution and have a specialist.
My heart goes out to all those that have not had such great news this week!! It's a hard thing to cope with, I know, been there last year.
Can't wait to have my mind put to rest next week with our scan tho

That is pretty stink carole Not a greta reflection of good communication is it!?!?!
Hope all goes well on Monday KiwiWonder You must feel really up in the air with it all. As you say, you have the excitement of a pregnancy and a heartbeat but with all the uncertainty and anxiety thrust at you. Hopefully things will become a bit clearer on Monday. Will you have to wait very long for the results?
Beautiful day down here in Christchurch, really still and warm. Long may it last (being very hopeful here ) Yay for Friday, another weekend!

I'm due on the 23rd April ( according to my 7W scan) and yes I will find out as I'm way too impatiant!
Sasha - thanks for the welcome. I'm originally from Manchester in the UK so unfortunately very used to lots of rain. Auckland is arid in comparison!

Welcome Louise - I lived in Manchester for a while - spent a few wet and grey summers there! Mind you was there for the nightlife, so didn't really matter if the sun came out or not!
Yes and yes to the nose and teeth - my sinus infection is now an annoying stuffiness, and I noticed my gums hurt when I was eating a bagel. Luckily I went to the dentist the month before we conceived.
For everyone yet to have their scan, try not to worry - great advice from a MW friend - assume everything is fine unless you hear otherwise. Can't wait to see your pics!
Have a great weekend everyone! We will be starting on window sills in nursery, and looking for curtain fabric.
