dont mess with me...

I am sooo annoyed - paper chase just came to pick up paper in street and the idiots on the truck decided they would yell and bark at the dogs...who werent even making noise to start with (tells me it is obviously their fri thing!!!) - so I went to window and said "hey dont do that!!" - driver looked at me and smiled, then drove up street and thought i had gone - wrong!!! Driver and kid on back started up again - so i yelled at them to cut it out and that i had a baby trying to sleep - dogs were going for it...and Ella was asleep and stirring by this time!!!

THey just smiled and gave me this look that said F off lady!!! - SOOOOO I got straight on phone and made a complaint to council about them and demanded a response...will see if i get one...

The justice in it...it was clear skies but as i was on the phone the skies opened and it started hailing - serves them right...

at least Ella has gone back to sleep now! PHEW!!!

Glad Ella has gone back to sleep, she was looking (and sounding!) awfully tired!
And I'm not a great fan of council workers either, our rubbish collection is supposed to be AFTER 7am yet every week it's bloody 5am and they are right outside my window.

Far out, they really have no respect at all. I'm glad ours come early so i'm either just getting back home form dropping DH and Andrew off or still out. I did read in a mag that a woman complained about the noise of the workers down her street (more the truck) and it was sorted really nicely - hopefully the same for you.

Isn't Karma nice

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Inconsiderate as*h**es!! Hope they get more than rain coming their way!!!

Not all waste management workers are like that. Ours waves to my Son & even goes outa his way to get my mini bin(I dont put it on the street) He comes around the corner of my house & wheels it out to the truck himself to empty it. Ours isnt council run either...

What really makes me angry is that if the dogs were to react, it would be the dogs' fault. As in, if they were being stirred up, and then say, a courier tried to come on the property and they went beserk. You know?

A friend of mine is having problems with her dog at the moment - she has a high fence, and kids are coming along after school and throwing rocks over the fence. Aside from the danger to the dog of being hit, the dog is now very easily startled and any loud noise of unexpected movement gives him a fright. Not to mention that if he was to go one of those kids ... well.

We had the same problem with Jess - a little boy next door of a certain race throwing sticks and stones at her during the day (we didn't realise) ... and it got to the point where she saw anyone of that racial description she'd lose the plot.

Very, very uncool BS. Keep on at COuncil - they give dog owners such a hard time, make sure that you give it back to them!

Maya - they're not allowed to do that so early, I'm sure. My boss lives in Henderson and close to a supermarket there. The supermarket was week in, week out getting its bins emptied at about 3-4am. So, don't ask me how he did it, but my boss got hold of the manager's home phone number and started ringing him every week as it happened and giving him an earful! They now empty the bins at a more reasonable time apparently.
