I'm pregnant with my second child, and 13 weeks in I get my first ever hemmorhoid I never had anything with my first!

(Warning: the following contains TMI!)

Anyway, went to the Dr, who said eat more fibre, etc etc, but that isn't really the problem. I have had the runs since becoming pregnant and anything with any sort of "solidity" to it, seems to cause them. I am not straining at all.

I was just getting rid of one, went yesterday and now there are more

Apart from the whole fibre thing, is there anything else I can try? I don't want to have this the whole pregnancy or during birth!

Get your midwife to prescribe some ultraproct for you. I had one with DD but didn't cause me too much grief, but has resurfaced again this pregnancy.

Yeah ask for some ultraproct. It's the only thing that worked for me.
Midwife will give you some for sure, they seem to understand pregnant worries better then GPs.

Hugs, I have been plagued with them this pregnancy they suck. Ultraproct is your friend, it's really helpful. If they get really bad use the suppositories and he ointment together.
