I just made a treasure map with the kids.
stained paper with tea
ripped the edges
drew the map etc and we went on a hunt

what they didn't know was I had bought some cheap necklaces and rings (plastic) from the $2 and some lollies and hidden them in their toybox in a box that I marked a big X on ;)

They were so excited to find the treasure and we had so much fun taking paces around the house, crawling under tables and getting stuck in quicksand etc :)

Aw how fun, glad they enjoyed it! I loved doing those sorts of things when I was a kid and can't wait for Lily to be old enough too!

What a cool idea!  We were swashbuckling pirates yesterday (we made hats out of newspaper and swords from cardboard) I think a treasure hunt would be a great addition to our role play.  Can't wait for DD to get home from kindy

Great . That was fun I'm sure . You can used that game as a party game for their birthdays as well . That could be a great party game .
