I went to the Auck one last year when I was preggie and it was great... mainly cos we went with a list of things we needed to buy and got them way cheaper - stroller, breastpump, bebepod and grobag egg were our big purchases and we got a few smaller things too. Got soooo many samples. I think it was totally worth it.
I went to Chch one last year - went really early and left DS at mother-in-law. Didnt get much attention from stall holders as I wasnt noticeably pregnant and no kids in tow. However, I found it was good to research items and made some decisions but bought mainly later on to avoid crowds and pushy sales people. I got as many freebies as possible and it made it worthwhile - oh and not to mention, entered as many competitions as possible (I am a competition junkie!)
I will go again but will attempt to take at least one or more kids with me......maybe the twins will get me a little bit more attention!
