Another maternity clothing post from me- am going to be in Auckland this weekend, and want to do some shopping. Are there any great maternity clothes shops (different from the standard ones in the rest of the country)??

Also, any really special baby shops?

I can;t think of anywhere different, but there is an Egg outlet store at Botany (its ok, nothing special) and Dressmart might have some stuff. Also out east is the Bobux outlet store, great baby shoes & merino clothes quite cheap. OTherwise all the lovely but expensive places like Naturebaby in newmarket etc

Baby cino n New Market has a maternity section you could check out - they're on carlton gore road. Bonus is that they have some gorgeous but way spendy baby things too. Also nature baby is about 100m down the road and has some very cute (and well wearing/washing) baby clothes.

Is this your first pregnancy - I was due about the same and my best purchase were some maxi tops and dresses from Glassons, a lot cheeper than maternity clothing and better looking in most cases! I wore them until I was due and I got huge!

eta: check out ASOS, their an online store based in England, but they have lovely stuff and free shipping, do maybe something to tempt you there

hey Piwa, if you go to Newmarket, you could also check out Kid Republic on Kent st. Like the others in Newmarket (BayBee Cino, Nature Baby) it is an expensive shop, but I was in there a couple of weeks ago and some of their maternity gear was on sale and it was nice. Egg has an outlet store further up Khyber Pass Road not far from Newmarket as well as their store in the Newmarket shops. Should have details on their website.

Thanks ladies- will definitely be getting some bits and pieces from the good ol' house of G and online, but it's looking like I'll need to get some corporate gear somewhere- and wouldn't mind treating myself a wee bit too ;)

Just to update- I had a look at Kid Republic in Newmarket and got some good work pants by Ripe- not too expensive, as they're good quality, and so comfy. Found the selection there a little more stylish than PP and egg, and not really much dearer.
