Free entry to the zoo on Sunday for to remember Kashin
the elephant, and if weather is bad a free entry to a story thing at the Aotea Centre with book people such as Margaret Mahy and other well known authors and also they are having there a launch of a new little digger book

Also remember this is MOTAT's last free weekend for Auckland residents.

With MOTAT do you get in free just by turning up, or do you have to show something to prove you are an auckland resident, ie. a bill/bank statement with your name and address?
I bet the Zoo will be packed!!! Neat idea though!

The local papers have vouchers you can cut out and present. Otherwise anything proving your ID (library card, power bill, drivers license etc).
We went today and really enjoyed it. It was quite busy though.

I actually wanted to go to Western Springs tomorrow but once I heard about the zoo thing I'm steering clear of that area. It will be PACKED!..

We went to the zoo today to meet the Wot Wots and it was awesome  Samantha got to meet both Spotty & Dotty and was in awe of them - talked about nothing else for hours

We just got back from the zoo. It was packed but such a big area that we could still see everything and find seating for lunch etc. We left after the big downpour as we got soaked and had seen about 90% of it by then.
