Topic: Baby City sale? Posted: 20 May 2007 at 9:53am |
Anyone know when the next Baby City sale is? And specifically if Phil & Teds will be included in the sale?
I have a 10% voucher for there from my Bounty book, but obviously if I can wait a few weeks and get a bigger discount through a sale then that'd be better.
Actually, thinking about it, anywhere that sells Phil & Teds that has a sale on them coming up would be nice to know about.

Hi Mikaela - I have that voucher too, and we're also wanting to get a Phil & Teds! But I thought I read on it you can't use the voucher on top of other discounts... so just hunted it out and it says "Cannot be used in conjuction with any Fly Buys offers, sale goods or other discounts".
The cheapest place I've found for Phil & Teds is Winkalotts
Also don't know where you're from, but if you're near Hamilton. the Parenting and Child Expo has a stall with them at a good special. The last day is today.
Baby City is the most expensive price I've seen them at, so we'll probably be going Winkalotts. Good luck!

Sorry Arohanui, I didn't explain myself very clearly did I (blame it on mornings with no coffee )
I know you can't use the 10% voucher on top of other discounts, but I thought they might have a better discount than 10% on during a sale. As in, if they had 15% off Phil & Teds over Queens Birthday weekend then I'd be better off doing that than using my voucher.
But thanks for the Winkalotts link, I'm off to check them out now

I am not normally the person to do this, but I would recommend steering clear of using Winkalotts. There are a growing number of us that have had nothing but problems after ordering larger items like prams and cots from these people. I myself had numerous problems getting a cot that I had ordered and paid for. It ended up taking 7 weeks to be delivered and only arrived 1 week before Sam was born! I had to chase these people daily and it still took weeks before we saw any results!

I have to back Sterryn here....we had no end of problems including them "losing" our layby and I'm talking the buggy and payments entirely. I won't go into all the details but you are welcome to pm me for info.
Instead if you are going down the P&T road I'd recommend checking out Kiwibaby.

I would suggest kiwi baby as well, and they are the same price as winkalotts
If you can wait till the parent and child show in Auckland in October (I am too slow to work out when you are due) they had a good deal then for the pram, single or double. And it was delivered free of charge
Also when we looked at getting our P&T we asked if and when it would be on sale and the manager said it hardly ever was reduced, but offered us 10% off if we spent more than $1,000

The Parent & Child show will be a bit late for me, sadly, but arohanui might be able to hang on that long? I'll check out Kiwibaby

Add me to the list of bad service from Winkalotts. Sadly, I won't purchase from them again.
