Topic: Baby love mobile Posted: 04 June 2010 at 8:02am |
This isnt a review as such more a please help!!
Floyd loves listening to the music off his symphony in motion mobile (we've never actually used the mobile bit, it was given to us 2nd hand with a bit missing, never managed to fix it) ...but we are chewing through batteries like you wouldnt believe!!
Does anyone know what the name of the pieces of music are so they I can hunt them down and download them onto a cd?

I'm sure it is probably the same songs they use... I don't know the songs either but I'll ask my granddad tonight as he is bound to know!

Can you record the songs straight from the monitor? you could do it onto the computer and then burn a cd from there... or go oldschool and use a tape if you have a tape player.

I haven't seen one of these mobiles before, but sometimes know pieces of music! So...I searched YouTube to see if I could find a wee sound recording....
If this clip is your mobile, then this piece of music is by Bach, and is one of the Preludes from his preludes and fugues. It might even be the first prelude...I just don't know (you need someone who plays the piano to tell you which one it is...he wrote heaps!)
If you are able to find URLs of the other pieces, then I could have a go trying to work it out for you!
Maybe you could head to the library...or the warehouse even...and get a CD of Bach/ Mozart and play that...it will be the same sort of music. :-)

Thanks for that, in this clip the last piece of music you hear (when she pushes the blue button) is the one he loves. If we push one of the other buttons he wont go to sleep little toad!!! I have some classical cds so will get them out and see if anything takes his fancy.
I tried googling Bach preludes this morning but couldnt find the right one
grr link didnt post!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYsiEITz7hg

Haha - that's cute. Clever boy recognising the music!! I was like that when I was wee...only settled with classical music...my older bros and sisters used to ask my mum "why does she like that?!"....funnily enough, it went on to be a life long thing....so, maybe you have a budding musician there Sarah! :-)
The blue button piece, I'm pretty sure is mozart....I can sing the whole thing to you, but do you think that I can think of a name?!!?
When DH is home, I'll get him to use his iphone - he's got an application that recognises songs. We've not really used it for classical music...but I don't see why it wouldn't work!

oh man...so I'm really really doing multiple posts....
I thought they pushed the blue button first...that's the one I think is Mozart...
The third (last) piece is the Bach that I mentioned above (well, a slight variation of it)...
sorry for serial posting :-)
