Topic: Baby Tad Posted: 08 August 2007 at 10:25pm |
Just adding another thing we have found absolutely wonderful.
We got this when Ayja was 1.. i wish i had gotten one sooner, in fact i wish i had one for Paris.
We never had a mobile as I always thought, and knew, that it can overstimulate them when they're trying to sleep, so had to put up with the constant music-box pulling.
Until Tad.. who has the 6 minutes till night-night function.. plays 6 mins of classical music, and works like a dream to put her to sleep now. she doesn't use him much for playing with really, which i don't mind too much as really he's her connection with bed time, but yeah, Baby tad rocks!
Edited to add: we don't have him in her cot though cos his colourful lights and music would prove far too tempting for her to play with while supposedly going to sleep.

I was looking at this when I was in Farmers the other day and wondered about how people found it. Glad to read your review Janine.

we love ours...actually i love leap frog stuff full stop!!!
I got tad on sale for $35 i think when farmers had sale - got down there first thing and grabbed the only one they had!
I used it in portacot at work instead of a mobile...and as Ella loves music she is silent for six whole minutes!!!
I love the MMMMMMMMMMMMKISS lips on his cheek too!
We also got given the soft caterpillar....OMG that was worth its weight in gold....she loves it and we used that on portaacot in oz to have music for bedtime each night...but the funky rocking songs are so cool too....she loves it....hence why i then went and spent up on leappad and then bought all the books for it in oz ready for her.

It is great, Tyrell is now starting to work out to push the buttons when they flash not just randomly. (sp?)

xanthe had tad and it was fantastic, every night she would go to sleep to 6 mins of music. it is a little bit worn out now, so although jordis has inherited it, it doesnt play very well - we had to stop when the push buttons got all confused and would be turning off instead of more music!
fantastic value for money!
we have just been given the caterpillar, and jordis is loving it so far.

Jake loves his, he plays dolls with it now (wrapping it up for nigh' nigh'), and Char is interested in it as well. THey are worth their weight in gold. Jake loves the kiss part as well. So cute.

Baby Tad is awesome, Haleighs had hers since she was 6wks old she has him in bed with her and occasionally will put him on night music to go to sleep, she sucked on his hand when she started teetheing so now the day hand doesnt work but she jsut pushes the shapes as they light up to make him sing.
We are definately gettign one for James Haleighs very possesive of her tad, we've also been looking for the alphabet one, I saw him a yr ago but havent seen him since, has anyone else seen it??

Awww cute photos!! The Baby Tad and the caterpiller look neat. It's great that baby Tad plays music for 6 mins to help them get off to sleep. I think i'll have to get them both for my little girl

the caterpillar does a musical medley - and that goes for about 4 mins or so i think....combines all the songs into onelong one....thats what we used instead of a mobile in oz...and i soemtimes use it if we are in that car on that setting...
there is also a plastic looking caterpillar from leap frog not too sure what it does tho....at least tad and this one are cuddly.
