What's it on? Why don't you want to do it? What's hard about it?

Don't get my hopes up Ginger.
It's on civil society in France.
I don't want to do it because it is boring... and I haven't touched it for a week or so, meaning I have to go back and do all the reading I did all over again.
It's hard because it is just finishing it off and I am lacking motivation. I wrote most of it a couple of weeks ago and just have to make sense of it and get it up to an A grade
Feeling slightly inspired... what's the next plan?

It's one big plan m'dear
OK, so what angle are you taking? What's the essay question? (And how many words?) Tell me about the basic topic. I don't know anything about it, so put it in idiot-speak would ya?
What have you got in the way of notes? (eg. have you written anything?), or have you just done reading?

Right, well, it's a 2000 word paper which is a follow on from the stunning seminar I conducted last week.
The reason I am having such trouble with it is that it is short and very vague (topic is just: Civil society in France).
Soooo... in the last 5 minutes I have decided to divide it into sections
Intro
Historical influences on civil society in France
Modern civil society
The relationship between civil society and state
And throw in a few case studies here and there... like the altermondialisation movement which is headed by ATTAC in France... and the CPE protests about the 'First employment contract' which was rammed through the legislative process last year and subsequently withdrawn... and Mai '68, a whole huge bunch of protests and strikes led by students which shut down France for a month... and the movement for homeless people which involves a whole bunch of red tents being set up in Paris to force the issue onto the political agenda - very successful, a whole lot of the recent Presidential campaign was spent on this issue.
And I've written about 1800 words and by the time I cut and paste this, should be up to 2000 Just have to write it "correctly".
Thank you Ginger - thoroughly involved in work now.
This is nikkiwhyte... signing off.

That's a girl!
Remember - Intro (200 words), four or five main sections/points, then directly draw on those points for your conclusion (250 words thereabouts).
If you give yourself a couple of hundred to 250 words per section, it's a lot easier to write it than focus on 2000 words. That's what I used to find anyway.
If you want a second set of eyes to run over the draft, just give me a yell (I majored in history could possibly help).
Am now off to find out if you made up that word alterwhateverthefark just to sound brainy

ha ha, procrastination on this board.. no way.. it's RELAXATION before taking on the huge task. You have to stretch your fingers by typing on a message board before you can subject them to something as grueling as an assignment or essay!
lol.. in saying that, my big pile of portfolio practice development stuff is out.. and here i am.. lol.. i have till 9th July... ok that is close. shush
