HEy chickies, just a quick update, he's had his grommets put a week or so ago after having them postponed a few times, and mum said he's hearing a bit better she thinks, he's sick alot - has had 10 courses of antibiotics since July, so kinda averages out to about every 2 weeks.
The new thing is yesterday he had a seizure out of the blue.. freaked out my mum and my little sis who was there at the time. Mum went outside to hang washing and came back up the path to hear my sister saying "breathe, breathe" (you know, when a kid does a big cry they windup and forget to breathe for ages then let out that huge cry.. he had started crying, for no reason, then just did that) as mum got up to the steps carrie screamed and mum ran inside to find her holding him, back arched and arms, legs riggid eyes in back of head and teeth clenched. Mum said it took ages for him to come round. But up to hospital they went, they checked him over and sent him home, couldn't find any reason said maybe it was a febrile convulsion.. mum said there was no way he had had a high temp cos she's kept an eye on him cos he's on anti's again this week.
we're hoping this is a once off, but his dad said that epilepsy is rampant in his side of the family.. argh, it nevers ends.
Am gonna give her some CPR lessons over the weekend.

Bailey is Janine's nephew - he lives with her mum. He is a dear little boy but has some serious health issues. Poor little man! How is your mum Janine?

She's doing okay-ish, has got some daycare and some respite care for him now but thinks that is half the reason he's getting sick alot due to the daycare.
He's being weaned off the medications very slowly but is still taking a fair whack of oldies heart medication.
Mum still waiting for referral to hosp for her renal failure. But is enjoying having Bailey at daycare when he does go, and he goes away for 1 weekend every month and a half or so.. which is when she comes round and spends days with my girls.. they are happy to have nanna back, especially Ayja as she has never known nana as more than someone we visited occasionally since she was born around when Bailey was diagnosed. Now every time i am on the phone she's like "nana? nana?" and is very possessive of nana when nana comes to visit. it's nice.

Oooh, enjoy the farm trip! We went with Maya's daycare when she was about 18 mths and she sat in a puddle and ate mud
I too was wondering how Bailey was getting on the other day. Poor little thing, seems like he just can't cut a break. But I guess it's a good thing that they have been able to cut back his meds and that your Mum is getting some respite care coz it must be very demanding looking after him.
Would love to see a pic.

he he he, very demanding, he is a full on toddler.. likes to climb everything, stand on the table and has smashed half of mums plates and bowls from getting into the cupboard despite mums best efforts to keep him out of the cupboards. The came round to our place the other day and WHOA, i knew our house wasn't completely toddler proof, but every cd, book, video, constantly off the shelves, trying to climb on top of the cubby house. lolol. I was exhausted after half an hour of him being here. He turns 2 in mid January.... and currently is now taller than Paris we realised the other day.
The farm trip was ok, it rained, but we all had fun, we went to owlcatraz reserve in Shannon (the big metropolis!), has all sorts of stuff, an owl enclosure and had these cows and bulls that their height of the top of their back was as tall as the guy working there, and he was a tall skinny guy too!. we got round mostly in between showers and the walksways were through bush so didn't get too wet. The girls are currently still at daycare and i came home to get a bit of a break and try to sleep, but argh, just can't. Will have a look for a pic, can't remember the last time we took pics of him.
