I brought a couple of peapods off TM and the bamboo inserts seem really stiff, I have washed them and left them in the sun but it hasnt done much good, is there anything else I can do, at the moment I am just putting the baby first inserts in them.

Try putting them in the drier for a couple of minutes, on a medium to low heat, it softens my inserts up good.

yeah I'd say that. But bamboo would do that anyway. I used to have loads off those peopod ones they soak up sooooo much wee's.

Yeah, my bamboo insert is like that now too - worse if dried inside over clothes horse, better if dried outside in the fresh air. Still works just fine :-)

Are they not uncomfrotable for baby though? They almost feel like cardboard when they get wet

I have a peapod and its gotten hard, DD hasn't complained yet and she would probably pull it off if she could.

Have you tried soaking them I find that even if they've been washed it can be a bit hard but if I soak it (which I normally do when stripping them) it softens up

How are people finding pea pod nappies? I'm leaning towards them but I'm still not sure, they're a bit cheaper than other brands and I like the idea of bamboo! we used to have bamboo cleaning cloths and they were amazing.
Would be interested in hearing other ladies thoughts!
:)

I have started using them even though the inserts seem a bit stiff and Riley seems fine with them - they also soak up SOOOOO much wees, they last as long as a treasures ultra nappy rather than a cheap budget one.

I'm going to buy more peapods in the medium size rather than more itti's which should say something. They're just as absorbent and half the price on special. Cost has to come into the decision, and for what you pay they're excellent. I have itti's and 1 peapod (was second hand when I got it) that I started using at the same time and the peapod feels in better condition.
