Topic: Bed buddies Posted: 20 February 2008 at 8:48am |
I thought this was ultra cute.
Michaela won't fall asleep with me in the room so after her story/prayers/cuddles I leave her to it and close the door. She normally jumps out of bed immediately and start playing and then within 20 mins climbs back into bed, pulls her covers up and falls asleep and she often takes a few toys to bed with her.
Last night when I popped in to check on her she was fast alseep and on her pillow with her was 5 books, 2 soft toys, a pair of socks and 1 shoe.

Awww cute! Maya once took such a shine to her new Pumpkin Patch jandals that she slept in them for a week. She would have been about 2 I guess.
Here is my Sienna cuddled up with a couple of Zebra minky Snazzipants AIO's and a pair of cow print HH's, that girl sure does love her nappies!

Andrew is the same I always find random things in his bed when I go and check on him just before I go to bed.
Josh is like Sienna and loves going to sleep with his nappies, he pulls them off the change table into his bed and goes to sleep with them.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Yup, that's how Sienna gets them - just in case anyone thought I was a bad mother and MADE her sleep with them

That is so cute! Seb is the utter opposite... he'll throw his blanket out, anything else in the cot gets biffed out, and sometimes even all his clothes, his sheet and for a while there his mattress too... (porta-cot) I'd find him in the morning (in the middle of winter!!) asleep on the hard base of his porta-cot wearing nothing but a nappy - perfectly happy with a pile of destruction heaped up around his cot! I don't know how he does it...

That's funny, Michaela was the same when she was in her cot it's only now that she's in her bed she likes to invite bed buddies in with her.

thats so cute. Addison has started doing the same now she is in her bed. on one side is her tallboy and the other her bedside cabinet and everynight without fail she opens her draws and pulls whatever she can reach into bed with her. she doesnt get out of bed ever (even in the mornings she stays in till i go get her) but her bed is always full of stuff. last night it was every bib she has in her draws.

I had the same problem with DD throwing the mattress out of her portacot, It was such a mission having to remake her bed after every sleep. She eventually gave up throwing it right out and would allways end up sleeping underneath it. I have only fond her under her mattress once in her big bed but it's a lot heavier mattress. She always has a collection of stuff in her bed, usually nappies or shoes.

Last night I went to check on Michaela and could barely open the door. I opened it just far enough to slip through incase there was a sleeping toddler on the floor but no she had pulled everything off her shelves, out of the bookcase and and out of her draws and piled them all on the floor.
My little tornado really did a number on her room.

Ella still does it sometimes. Twice in the last week I've gone in to check on her before I go to bed and she's been fast asleep with her ski goggles on!
