Topic: bladder pressure Posted: 03 June 2011 at 12:53pm |
Hi ladies
I am 27 weeks pregnant tomorrow with my 2nd child, for the last week I have constantly had pressure on my bladder and the feeling that I am busting even after I have been, the feeling is driving me nuts! I have had two urine tests and its not a uti and have spoken to my ob on the phone who just thinks its baby pushing on the bladder, has anyone else had this annoying problem constantly? does it get any better?
thanks ladies

Maybe bubs will change position and give you some relief. I had that feeling with my daughter (can't remember at what stage) then she rolled over or something and it felt normal again for a while (until she got bigger and then kept tap dancing on my bladder instead).

I had the same thing at 35 weeks, constant bladder pressure, small amount of pee, and still had the pressure after, and clear pee tests... I then started getting pain in my kidneys... they told me it was baby pressure at first but it ended up being kidney stones hope yours is just baby pressure! but if you start getting pain I'd go to the hospital cos it gets stupidly painful...

I also had this issue, but in my case it was because of gestational diabetes - hopefully this has been ruled out for you...

Hey...Saw my MW today and brought this one up...She said in my case she'd expect it to get better at around 32 weeks when bump moves up.... My bubs is head down, legs up towards my ribs and sitting right against my bladder, hence the discomfort .... She also told me to keep drinking lots of water to ensure it doesn't become a UTI problem further down the track.... Latest bloods and glucose etc. came back clear for me but I'm getting a test done just to be sure, but for the fact that I don't have any pain, and it's more of a problem at night, I'm fairly sure it's just bubs making his presence known! I hope it improves for you too shortly.... :)

I felt like that for a whole week before my DS was born. Hated it, would go and immediately feel intense pressure like I needed to go again. Can't offer you any advice sorry.
