Yeah it was the final last night. There were 4 episodes all up.
I have been checking the labels on some of my clothes & the majority are made in China. Not that it's probably much better I suspect .
I think Nature Baby make their stuff in India. I wonder what sort of factory makes them?

Yeah I saw it too. But like one of the guys said, what will happen to those workers if everyone boycotts clothing from India and they are out of a job? I couldnt believe the working conditions and the tiny amount they got paid |

Yip, working conditions not good, particularly in the slum factories. It is really difficult to imagine how you could sit & sew for 14 hours a day in a stinky, hot & cramped room (& then sleep on the floor for the night after work "finishes").
I guess these people would be worse off if Westerners didn't buy the clothes they're producing but surely there has to be a better way??
Someone is making a ton of money because there is obviously a huge difference between what the workers are paid & what we pay for an item...

Lots of companies get clothes made in India and China but choose to do it responsibly. Workers get paid (not heaps but enough to get by) and have better working conditions.
It's up to us to stop buying those clothes

Nature Baby's one of the good ones.
Nature Baby And you're right – some factories in China are very similar.
Confessions of an Eco-shopper by Kate Lock is a really good read for anyone interested in the subject. It covers more just clothing, though.

its scary to think thats how things are done huh, like they were all saying you hear about that sort of thing but you dont quite understand till you see it. I thought it was really sad that they have to work like that just to have basic living.

Thanks Treen . I was just about to head over to NB to see if they had anything on their website.
It is difficult to know where & how most of our clothes are made... . I guess we need to ask more questions.
