So my just over one year old has decided to strike - since Thursday last week we have had to bottles (120mls & 220mls) of formula! We have tried teething spray (have multiple teeth pushing thru), brought two different cups to let her sip from and she spits the milk out. I have tried to give her weetbix and milk - again rejected. We are making sure between us and daycare she is getting dairy products in the way of cheese, yoghurt, ice cream ... and of course plenty of water - does anyone else have any ideas. She is so determined not to have it - you can't even get close. Did anyone else have problems and stop the bottle early?

A little girl in my coffee group stopped drinking milk at 11 months old. She flat out refused bottles/cups of milk and has not had a drink of milk since. Her Mum just ensures she has cheese and yoghurt often and she is perfectly healthy!

Personally I would go with it and not give it to her then. Just ensure she eats enough dairy in other ways as you are already doing!

Rhiannon did this at about 12mths as well, by this stage she was lucky if she was drinking 300mls of formula anyway.

so we just gave her plenty of yoghurt, cheese, smoothies and she is perfectly healthy.

in fact she still doesnt like milk much now....but she is a huge water drinker, as we just replaced her milk with water.

Jake went on a formula strike round 11 months and would only have it with milo then refused the bottle and any milk from about 13 months. I didn't give him much dairy at all coz hes lactose/dairy intolerant so not alot of chice and not much affordable either but I made sure he had a generally balanced diet and hes perfectly fine now. Just started drinking milos again in the last fortnight
