   Hi ladies
This is a bit of a silly question, but almost half of jacksons nappy changes i find he is saturated on the left hand side of his tummy (just above his nappy),
I use huggies, but have also tried treasures ultra and giggles, but it doesnt seem to make a difference.
ive been really careful in the way im putting them on.. and i dont think im doing it wrong.
anyway, my question is.. do boys pee upwards?? cause it seems to me that his wees are pointing upwards and actually getting through the top of the nappy? anyone else have this problem?   i know its a bit of a silly question but boys are all new to me!

Yup, def can pee upwards. Make sure you tuck his little willy downwards when you put his nappy on - that way the wee goes into the nappy. I had to learn this the hard way too!! |

The only thing to watch for is that you don't pull the foreskin back. Everything is fine to give a good wipe without worry. Daniel pulls on that whole area which makes me totally cringe but it doens't bother him so they can't be hugely sensitive.

Make sure that when the nappy is put on that it is still pointing down as they can move when the nappy is pulled up. I found that I have to keep my hand on it sometimes when pulling the nappy up. |

I figure that the way he pulls and tugs on everything "down there"....they I dont need to worry too much! I just make sure that i get into all the little creases - we dont use wipes except for on poos, but we always  wash with a warm cloth each time. Just a bit gentler on his skin than wipes (and cheaper).    |

as the others have said..make sure it's pointing down before you cover it up with a nappy...and also make sure you have a wipe on hand to cover it should it start to rise up and down...or you'll get wet |

A good tip is to have a flannel on hand to put on his bits when changing him. The cold air shrinks the testes and therefore their bladders and voila... wees!
 Always penis down!

And wipe away! I lift his bits up and around. He touches them anway and claws them with his fingernails so I figure I'm not being too rough at all!

Freesia that was freaking hilarious....look at the quote..
“Changing a baby girl is not all glitz and glory.
Changing a baby boy is an even bigger horror story.
You hold the feet with one hand and change the
diaper with the other, the whole time praying
"please don't pee on your mother".
