Topic: Braxton Hicks - Take Two ! Posted: 02 March 2006 at 2:57pm |
Is it possible to have these early ?? I know they usually start for most people around 28wks... but I am pretty sure I'm having them now !! And I know it's not gas, that's a different feeling altogether. It's not painful, just bl**dy uncomfortable !! I was due to do some outbound calls for work but had to beg off because I couldn't focus I know it's nothing to worry about but arrrrrrrrrrrgh... why me and why now ??

If they aren't Braxton Hicks, it might be your bowels? I had vague stomach cramping for the first few months which I thought were BH, but it turned out I was just a bit blocked up. I increased my fruit/vege/water intake and it went away by itself.

Nope, bowels are nice and regular Although I'm not really sure you needed to know that LOL Since I'm eating us out of house and home at the moment, I try and cram in as much fruit and natural fibre as possible, and am drinking almost 2L of water a day.
My midwife was away, but I spoke to her backup midwife about it, and she said it was entirely possible that's what they were by how I described them. They lasted just shy of an hour, and apart from feeling a bit tired, nothing else is out of place.
